351 Cleveland in 55 Ford : Nasty Cam + BIG exhaust = MUSIC
Spotted this old '55 Ford, pretty straight, but obviously no minty garage
queen original or fancy restored show car. Hmmm... cop wheels & fat
traction bars? Tracked down owner, talked '55s for a bit (had a black Vic
way back when) & asked him if he'd mind popping the hood for pix.
Him "OK, but first whatcha think's in there?"
Me "Uh, 272, 292, maybe 312 Interceptor?"
Him "Nope, that was long ago. Put a built 390 in there, blew it up. Built a
427, blew that up too. This is a *real* motor here. 351 Cleveland, son."
Me "OK... Wouldn't wanna fire that up, would ya?"
Too bad I didn't get a clip when he barked the tires on the way out of the
lot, heh heh.
55 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan w/Fordomatic - SOLD!
Clean and Sharp -- two good words to describe this beautiful 1955 Ford
Fairlane Club Sedan. It's got a 292 w/an Edelbrock 500 series 4 barrel
carb, and the stock 6 volt system. The paint and interior were done in
2005. The door handles, lock set ignition and doors, trunk key and ring,
hub caps tail light outer rings, seals and Ford door emblems have been
replaced. The original carpet was dyed to match the darker blue in the cab
area. The brakes and master cylinder were all new about 2 years ago. All
the stainless, both bumpers, the carpet, headliner, visors, gauges, hood
ornament (rechromed), Fairlane and Fordomatic, V-8 insignias and the grill
are original. It has a newer battery and comes sitting on newer Coker 4"
radial white walls. The car has been appraised at $16,500.

Supercharged home made Straight Eight by Desperate Dan Vid 2
Built in a shed, it fired up first go. I was hoping it would sound real
lumpy like a drag engine, but it runs too smooth, and it's too quiet even
with unsilenced 9" pipes! The timing was a pain to sort out the Rover
distributor runs backwards, I had to take the heads off to work out the
firing order!!! See the shed it was built in on Vid 1.
Added May 2012: OK, my nails are dirty, maybe because I'm an engineer &
build stuff? Maybe your nails are clean because you can't build eff-all &
just sit behind your computer? C'mon folk, get a life.
