Ben Collins isn't The Stig, Alonso is! Why else would he be so pissed at Hamilton winning? Lets look at the proof for Alonso being The Stig: - This video. This episode of Top Gear was made in 2007, the same year as Fernando's infamous season at McLaren with Lewis Hamilton as his team-mate. - At the time of airing, Alonso lived in Oxford. Jeremy Clarkson lives in Oxford. Clarkson once mentioned that he passed Fernando at 85mph on the Oxford Ring Road - The Stig is a white male with dark hair - In an episode of Top Gear, Richard Hammond drove an old Renault F1 car around the Top Gear Test Track, when Fernando was still at the team. The Stig also got to drive said car around the track to set a time (although Heikki Kovaleinen was behind the helmet for that lap). - When Jenson Button was on Top Gear (the first time), he took what Jeremy described as "not The Stig's line" through the first corner, saying that all the F1 drivers take it differently from The Stig. Jenson remarked that The Stig was "obviously not a Formula 1 driver then," to which Jeremy quickly said "might be." - On Fernando Alonso's first test with McLaren, he wore overalls and an outfit very similar to The Stigs (only difference was the Alpine Stars patches on the shoulder). - The Stig has proven to be a very brave driver in his time on Top Gear, driving cars in an aggressive, all out fashion. Much like Fernando.
