My four classic Karmann Ghias: '73 Ghia Vert for Sale
My four classic Karmann Ghias, as you might guess the Karmann Ghia and especially the Ghia Convertible is my favorite car. Here we have a 1962 Ghia Convertible (restoration in progress), a very original 1960 Ghia coupe, and 2 1973 Ghia Convertibles. The Orange '73 Ghia convertible is for sale! This beautiful orange '73 Ghia Convertible has been with the same owner for the past 24 years. The owner only put 3000 miles on it during the entire time he has had it! The interior is original and in very good condition for being original. The top even looks original and if it is original it is in remarkable condition for its age. The windshield still has the original VW logo and the condition of the original interior leads me to believe that is probably the original mileage at just over 61k. Recently we came across this beautiful Volkswagen Karmann Ghia 1600 Cabriolet 1971 at The Gallery in Brummen, The Netherlands. This classic car dealer is one of the largest in the world. We took the car for a little spin! We love to hear your comments on our videos. Feel free to leave one! The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is a sports car marketed in both 2+2 coupe (1955--1974) and convertible (1957--1974) body styles by Volkswagen. The Karmann Ghia combined the chassis and mechanicals of the Type 1 (Beetle) with styling by Luigi Segre of the Italian carrozzeria Ghia and hand-built bodywork by the German coach-builder Karmann. The Karmann Ghia was internally designated the Type 14. Volkswagen later introduced a variant in 1961, the Type 34, featuring angular bodywork and based on the newly introduced Type 3 platform. Production doubled soon after its introduction,[5] becoming the car most imported into the U.S.[5] American industrial designer Walter Dorwin Teague included the Type 14 in his list of the world's most beautifully designed products.[6] More than 445,000[3] Karmann Ghias were produced in Germany over the car's production life -- not including the Type 34 variant. Karmann Brazil produced 41,600 cars locally for South America between 1962 and 1975.
