Setting the engine up and breaking it in.Remember this engine is just being
started after a rebuild so that's why it's smoking from the assembly lube
and the rack will be set-up to stop the hunting etc etc. Then the oil is
changed and the engine painted. These engine's go into Euclid mining rock
trucks,and they were in many other equipment/vehicles.The engine has

1959 GMC CANNONBALL. DETROIT 6 CYLINDER INLINE 2 CYCLE DIESEL ENGINE. THE
TRANSMISSION IS A 10 SPEED ROADRANGER. TOP SPEED OF THE TRUCK IS 65 MPH. I
TRIED TO DO A MIX OF LOW RANGE TO HIGH RANGE AND BACK TO LOW , SOME DOUBLE
CLUTCH , SOME NO CLUTCH , JAKE SHIFTING . UPSHIFT AND DOWN SHIFT. SOME
HIGHWAY DRIVING AT 50 MPH AND AT THE END CLIMBING A GRAVEL DRIVE ON A 15 %
GRADE. THE TRUCK HAS 9000 MILES ON A FRAME OFF RESTORATION. IT IS NOT
COMMERCIAL AND DOES NOT SMOKE OR LEAK. IT JUST GOES TO SHOWS , PARADES AND
EDUCATIONAL EXHIBITS IN ITS WELL DESERVED RETIREMENT. THANKS FOR LOOKING !
THE JAKE HAS A TOGGLE SWITCH TO TURN ON AND OFF , ALSO DEPRESSING THE
CLUTCH OR STEPPING ON THE THROTTLE WILL TEMPORARILY NULLIFY IT. I FLIP
THE SWITCH AT ABOUT 43 SECONDS INTO THE VIDEO. TAKE CARE.
600hp+ 14L Detroit Diesel pulling grade
Just a video of me showing my truck pulling one of the bigger hills(castle)
across I-90 in NY, 41,000lb in the box, no down shift at all. Truck has a
bigger tune than last video of it, should be close to 650hp to the wheels,
EGR 99% disabled, doing 38 PSI Boost, having turbo issues(VNT) so its set to max out at 38-40
with no control from ecm, no higher than 1100* on pyro. Truck is currently
