MGB Roadster in the New Forest
An edited version of a short trip in the New Forest in my 1970 MGB Roadster
(red, chrome bumpers, wire wheels, walnut dash and overdrive). Sister in
car with me (aged 13, hence some odd utterances), and my phone was taking
the video attached to the windscreen by a tacky, cheap, plasticky thing I
bought off Amazon for all of £5.99, hence the rather shaky video.

1969 MGC GTS versus Porsche Carrera S
1969 MGC GTS and Porsche Carrera having a bit of fun.
While driving a canyon road, I came up on a guy in a Carrera S. Once
traffic cleared, he took off while in a residential area so I let him go.
He slowed when I didn't follow. Once in a safer area we had a bit of fun. I
think he was VERY surprised that he couldn't shake a 38-year-old M.G.!

MGB Videos adds electronic ignition to 1980 MGB roadster repair of stuck points.
Our 1980 MGB roadster is typical to other MGB cars in many ways. Most of
the time we prefer to brag about the pleasure it provides. But, as with any
older vehicle, the MGB sometimes demands attention or slight alteration to
keep it reliable, road worthy and fun to drive.
This video addresses the problem of ignition points sticking "closed" and
stopping your MGB cold in its tracks. It's a dirty job for immediate
roadside repair. You have to pop the hood and reach way down to the
distributor cap. Then dig fingers to pop the clips, lift the cap, loosen
small screws and separate the points with a screw driver, or other tool.
Then, guess at a good separation for the points, retighten things and hope
it holds to get you home. We suggest you replace the points with an
electronic ignition system. Various kits are available, easy to install
and much more reliable than dealing with the problem of ignition points.
This video encourages you to add electronic ignition to enhance your
driving pleasure. As with our other MGB videos, comments and suggestions -
we present our personal MGB repairs solely for your reference, assistance
and extended pleasure of owning and driving an MGB . We hope our tips are

Why do we do it? First we love the MGB cars. The MGB car is small, easy to
push, light to elevate and the simple motor is a joy work on. MGB repairs
are easy. Replacing MGB parts is never a problem- thanks to readily
available parts from Victoria British and Moss Motors. Catalogs include
everything from grommets to upholstery and bolts to mufflers. And EBay
always has listing of an MGB for sale. The MGB cars and used MGB parts
are very popular among items for auction pricing.
The back yard mechanic couldn't ask for an easier car to repair and
refurbish without breaking the bank. Improvement components of electronic
ignition, carburetion and Exhaust
systems tend to bring the MGB car quickly to more than a classic cart
restoration. This is a car that quickly holds its own as a safe, reliable
daily driver. And it's always easy to park- fun to drive. With a little
paint or polish the MGB roadster becomes an instant head
turner...recognized and admired by everyone.
MGB videos give first hand explanation and examples of many updates and
changes done to our 1980 MGB roadster. Individual MGB videos focus on our
installation of various MGB parts -- such as thermostat, seat covers,
alternators and cooling fans.
MGB videos of Interesting MGB upgrades include adding electronic ignition,
adding fuel pressure regulator, battery cut-off switch and even adding air
conditioning to the 1980 MGB. We even show the simple alterations of
adding a prism viewer and repairing the rag top zipper. And we added
unusual (we call innovative) features of a side air vent and an special
molded air scoop to help ventilate fresh Florida air.

repairs to our MGB roadster. Each MGB video is presented with simple
personal explanation and easy to follow reference data. We often include

again -- with the benefit of following our MGB videos -- and the feedback
from fellow MGB owners.
