Very special and unique car. It has been my passion for 5+ years. I went completely through the car to make it my own and to make sure it is 100% and well tuned and sorted. It is turn key and ready to enjoy. ***No expense spared***
Drag raced it 1 x on 1/4 mile and 2 x on 1/8 mile - just for fun but it is super fast. Mostly take it to local cruise nights and car shows, I drive it to work on nice days, and I took it to Carlisle several times. It won 1st place at the Carlisle Mopar weekend fun field!
Well sorted and in excellent condition, turn key and enjoy! Street legal, registered and inspected. Pump gas. Needs nothing.
I just had engine freshened with all new bearings, rings (stock bore) had the heads done over, brand new 3500 stall converter and 4.11 gears (more street friendly than the 4.56's it had).
I also had a custom 3" Exhaust system installed with cross over and tailpipes. New Mopar dual batteries. Literally less than 10 miles on all new parts - still breaking it in.
When we tore down the engine we were shocked to find a top fuel billet crank. We upgraded to Indy roller rockers to match the roller cam.
Super cool car it is the hit of any show.
The interior is period correct racer with vintage seats, full dash and roll bar, but no carpet or door panels.

Robert Killian's 2000 Horsepower Hot Rod Explained
Robert Killian sits down to explain the throught behind his 1928 Ford Model A sedan, which features a Jon Kaase Racing Engines 820 cubic inch Ford Hemi engine. With 2,000 horserpower on tap, the car is built from the ground up to withstand it, even though it looks like a rat rod from the first glance. 1965 Dodge Coronet HEMI for sale at Gateway Classic Cars in St. Louis, MO
Up for sale is a very rare 1965 Dodge Coronet 440. This car has been featured in April 09' Mopar Action Magazine. You may ask why is this car so special. This specific Coronet is the first of three cars built by a hot rod shop in Michigan to have a 2006 5.7L Hemi installed. The custom performance shop had to work tirelessly to retrofit this Mopar. The car originated and was sold in Hawaii. The car remained there until it was purchased in 2006. After all the hard work and dedication this Dodge now gets 22mpg at 70-75 mph. The transmission is a 2005 545 RFE automatic which came out of a 2 wheel drive pickup. The rear end is a stout 8 3/4 with 3.23 gears. Since everything was rebuild the car has just 14,000 miles! Options include: A/C, AM/FM Radio, CD Player, Cruise Control, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl Interior, and Radial Tires. Let us tell you, it is kind of strange to glance below the dash and notice an OB2 connector. There have been a lot of custom touches added to this beautiful car such as an aluminum gauge cluster. The aluminum was made to match the original pattern found on the glove box. To boot, the Dodge comes with all technical information needed to replace or repair the custom drivetrain/suspension including part numbers! To view this vehicle please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com or come to our St. Louis showroom. For more information call 618-271-3000.
