2004 Indonesian Tsunami Indian Ocean Video Full Caught on Camera
http://bit.ly/YouTubeProfitsEbook - Free ebook showing how I make $100 a day on YouTube! 2004 Indonesian Tsunami Indian Ocean Video Full Caught on Camera We've been under immense shock after what happened in some regions of Asian territory last December 26, 2004 just an actual day after the Christmas celebrations on the amazing paradise city of Phuket on the island of Sri Lanka. It was one of the greatest diasters/tragedies with the toll of dead peoples reaching around 140,000 people! This left hundreds of thousands more people injured and struggling to survive the harsh surroundings. Here are some interesting facts that you may not know about Tsunamis: -Before the tsunami hits the shore, the wake will recede a ton and it may expose the ocean floor and kill thousands of fish! If you see this, run (lol)! Don't stand around like some fools you see in these types of tsunami videos on youtube, you need to get to higher ground immediately! -A tsunami can be a series of waves, but usually the first one is the most intense one. -Tsunamis usually only affect the shores or coast lines of areas, typically with shallow waters. When tsunamis are in the deeper waters, it comes off as a huge ocean wave. The physics of a tsunami indicates that it travels with shallow waters and grows greatly (up to 100 meters in extreme cases). -Earthquakes are the most common cause of destructive tsunamis, but they aren't the only one. They can come from meteors falling on a huge body of water (like the global ocean). Other ways that tsunamis occur are volcanoes, landslides or other huge displacements of water at one period of time! -Animals have a sixth sense. They can tell when a tsunami is comming and will usually run away. On boxing day 2004, the animals that were affected was very small compared to the humans that died/were affected. Scientists and animal masters know that animals are very sensitive to these types of things. Weird huh!? -Tsunamis are usually detected by scientists a while before they occur. Sri Lanka in 2004 didn't have one (obviously). This could have saved many, many lives. Those facts are just a few about these interesting waves! These are very destructive natural disasters. Tsunami, Indian Ocean
This movie was created as part of a university level presentation discussing the Tsunami that occurred on December 26, 2004. The background noise in the clips are somewhat audible to help show the emotions that were felt while the event was taking place.
