Lexus LFA Spotted in Motion in Socal!
We got wind that Lexus was bringing its V10-powered LFA to the Cars and
Coffee event in Irvine, CA so we pulled out our paparazzi skills to track
it down and follow it to the event.

Tank Trap Part 1! - Top Truck Challenge 2014

This is the event most Top Truck Challenge competitors anxiously await—or
dread. The Tank Trap is a quarter-mile-long course designed to force each
competitor to fight for every inch of forward progress. The Tank Trap is a
standard feature at the Hollister Hills SVRA, but for TTC, it’s modified
to our specs using heavy equipment and water. As in previous years, Tank
Trap (located in a deep, natural valley) had an approximate 195-foot climb
in elevation from start to finish. Due to water restrictions from the 2014
California drought, we had to cut back on the number of water holes, though
we used the same numbering system as in previous years. A few yards into
the course, competitors had to navigate the 5-foot-deep Water Hole 2. From
there, they entered the infamous 100-yard-long “Canyon” that contained
steep rock walls in excess of 7 feet in height, slippery steep rock
waterfalls, nasty ledges, and generally inhospitable terrain. If they made
it through the Canyon, it was onto Water Hole 3 and then a series of deep,
slippery, dry climbs and descents. Provided they were still moving, they
came fact-to-face with the deep, off-camber “Crevice” before dropping
into Water Hole 6 and Water Hole 7.

Lexus LF-A at Nurburgring 2009
Lexus have entered this year's 24-hours Nurburgring race with two
prototypes of the LF-A supercar. The cars are powered by V10 engines

Lexus LFA Nordschleife lap
A lap around the Nürburgring Northschleife. My first time on the
Nordschleife, didn't know the track well. Drove a few laps on PS3 a day
before. Enough to remember the 1st third of the track, the rest was
familiar, bot not enough.
Made A LOT of mistakes, overshifted a lot trough the whole lap. Probably
because of the excitment, so don't blame me :) Amazing expirience. Great to
be able to look at the speedo too. The video hides true speed very well.
Still in love with the engine and the sound of the car. The LFS is
magnificent, sublime on the road and track. Best supercar I've driven. So
balanced, so poised and with enormous levels of grip. Will remember this
for the res of my life. Was one of the highlights of my journalistic career
and I get chills just looking at this ...
Timed the lap, and I think it would be around 8min05sec. Good&fast for my
first time at the Ring. The car was a normal LFA, not the Nürburgring
edition that did the best laptime for the LFA model.
