Kristy's Surprise-1985 Camaro
As a surprise for my wife's birthday, I was able to get her first car,
which was a 1985 Camaro
Sport Coupe. When it arrived, it was in really rough shape and over the
course of 3 months, with the help of many individuals I was able to install
new springs, ball joints, wheels, tires, interior and have it painted.
Mini City Auto Body did all of the paint and body work during this time and
the results are amazing. Needless to say, Kristy was shocked.
Note: In between Kristy's first ownership of the car and now, my brother
had been driving it. After the ball joints wore out, it was parked and had
not been driven regularly since 2005. He graciously gave the car back to
me when I told him about my idea. It arrived in Wake Forest, NC on 6/23/08
and I gave the car to my wife on 9/27/08.

core started leaking, found 4 vacumn leaks, and both secondaries bowls for
the carbs were not open. Drove it anyway...
1985 Camaro Start to Finish
This video chronicles the transformation to my wife's first car, a 1985 Camaro. She bought the
car in 1995 and when we first met she was driving it. We decided to sell
it to my brother a few years after we got married. During the summer of
2008, I reacquired the car and secretly brought it back to its original
camaro 305 1/4 mile time.
here is my 1987 Camaro.
with a 305 in it.
ran it at the track
first gear was excellent. second gear felt like a power glide transmission
which by the way is a 700r4.....
and third or fourth gear didnt engage so i let off the gas around 3/4s of
the way down... still ran a 15.4...
