1966 Nova Wagon: TAPOUT Terror - /BIG MUSCLE
• Tim "SkyScrape" Katz
Most people who want to go road racing don't start off in a 48-year old
station wagon. However it you're Tim "SkyScrape" Katz, the co-founder of
"TAPOUT" you just say "F*CK IT", and build a wagon with the big 'ole V8
engine, a basketball size turbo, a roll
cage and four racing seats so the family can come along for the ride. Tim's
1966 Chevrolet Nova Wagon was built in his garage and is anything but
stock. Sure it's got some trick parts, but if you think it's a high-dollar
resto-rod, think again as Tim's not only one helluva wrench, but one of the
most die-hard car guys you're ever likely to meet.

Dyno-Tuning the Draguar's 696 Horsepower Supercharged Small Block Chevy! - HOT ROD Unlimited Ep. 35
It's time for motor mayhem! On this episode of HOT ROD Unlimited we head to
Westech Performance Group with Mike Finnegan to Dyno-tune a new engine for the
Draguar, the 1974 Jaguar XJ12 with a small-block Chevy under the hood that
he and Freiburger bought for $1,000 and installed a Supercharger onto in a parking lot during episode
7 of Roadkill. After the Supercharger
upgrade the guys road-tripped the dilapidated car from San Francisco to
Sacramento for a drag race. With the summertime air temps hovering around
113 degrees, the worn out 350 overheated and Freiburger only managed to run
a 15.30 ¼ mile ET at Sacramento Raceway.
Looking for redemption, Freiburger ordered a new 383ci long block from
Blueprint Engines, a definite upgrade over the old powerplant. Though the
new longblock is only rated to 600hp it features forged pistons and rods
and a forged crankshaft, which means that the guys can turn up the Boost and make double the power of the old
engine. The engine effortlessly made 650hp with 91 octane fuel in the tank
but Finnegan was feelin' froggy so he added 118 octane race fuel and upped
the Boost to 15 psi in an attempt to
make 700hp with the 383. Did the engine leave the Dyno shop in one piece? Check
out the video to see!
The engine we used is a BluePrint Engines' 383 Long Block designed for

Blown Small Block Chev Truck
1994 ext. cab shortbox. It was our first work truck in our fleet. After it
died it got donated to me as a toy project. With the help of my sons over
the last four years we have turned it into a 772 HP grocery getter for the
family. I put at least 2,500 kms on it this year without any troubles. The
700 R4 transmission failed shortly after this video (we knew it was going
to blow sooner or later). The stock rear end has 4:56 gears and the tires
are 32 inches tall. Next year we'll have a fixed up turbo 400 transmission with a Ford 9 inch rear
end. Then I will take out the 6,000 rpm rev limit chip and put in the 7,500
for better videos next year.
