First , the Supercharger "rattle" sound in engine bay is quite normal , and comes from the bearings of the Supercharger. This goes away over 800rpm, and so you will not hear it when you drive. New setup with E85 fuel.... (1978-79 Buick Skylark Custom Sedan)
Not original engine - it is a redone ZZ4 block with completely rebalanced rotating assembly ,forged crank and so on- with forged pistons , Dart Pro-1 heads (225 type) , modified by myself , Voodoo 1:7 rockers and much more...and Weiand Supercharger with "Superchiller" Intercooler system (pumps and reservoir in trunk...) , "Proform 850" race carburator with E85 plates and some other mods... this is a one-off engine. Driveline is accordingly to engine , with 10-bolt 3,73 / 4,11 "detroit locker" and all that is needed - "c-clip eliminator kit" , competition engineering "slide-a-link" and all the rest. Car is always considered for sale , to the right person ! (owned by myself since 1987 , so I can guarantee the history of this very rare and completely rust free car... I have all original parts in storage, so it can be taken back to complete original condition.) I can even sell Engine without the car ! Not very expensive compared to build cost - which is high. Can be tested on/off track. Buyer must be a licensed racer, because of the nature of this engine. It is wild.... (shipping not possible , will only trade in person , but I answer email.)

july 2012 at the "FYRESDAL AIRSTRIP " in Norway. The blue BUICK SKYLARK
-79 is owned and driven by JON VENSTAD , Norway. (355 smallblock engine
with some extras.. Weiand teflon equipped Supercharger at 110 % overdrive and the
"Superchiller" Intercooler...) Fuel used are E85 with
a special built "proform 850" carburator . The rest of the car and
driveline is equipped likewise , top-of-the-shelf parts all the way.

9 Second Buick GSX Stage2 GS Stage1 9.51 @ 140
We originally built this car with Frank Urbinati back in 1996.It debuted at
the GS Nationals where it won the GS Pro Street class races. It was also
the 1st GS Pro Street class car to break into the 9's at the time.Thanks to
Frank this project came to life. Fast forward to 2010 and the car has been
taken over by Bob Ortolani,the car still looks great and Bob decided to
bring it up another level. We were happy to have the car come back to our
shop and to have the opportunity to work with Bob and put together the new
powerplant. The video shows the results of our 1st day out to tune the
engine. The 1st two passes were shakedowns to check fuel/oil pressures and
get a feel for the new combo. By the 3rd run we had posted a 9.62 @ 138
hitting the 7100rpm rev limiter chip! The 4th run was a 9.52 @ 140. On the
5th run it went 9.51 @ 140.65! After a good cool down and a timing
adjustment we were ready to try for a 9.40 run, launching right off idle
the car gave us a nice big unexpected wheelie! The wheelie sure lookes cool
but we know we can go quicker with a little more suspension work to
straighten out the launch and try to keep the front down. We're sure it'll
go into the 9.40's yet and maybe even 30's after everything is worked out.

1969 BUICK SKYLARK CUSTOM 350-4 L77
My New 69 Buick Skylark Custom with L-77 350-4 motor. Most of the Buicks
Skylarks of this year you will find are 350-2. The Skylark GS and some
Skylark Customs have the 350-4 L77 motor. This motor is rated at 285hp and
375Ft/lbs of Torque. Compression is 10.25:1 which is high and only Premium
will do. O well.. An extra 2-3 bucks per tank.. Not a big deal.. But the
power is a big deal !! And this car has tons of it ! The Engine is so
large, you would swear it is a Big block and not a 350 Small block. 0-60
in around 8 secs. I have found that this is under rated being that I am
doing 0-60 in 8 secs at 6000 feet high here in Colorado. Could be the
195/70R14 tires previous owner has on the car. These tiny tires do help
the torque. Not sure what factory size they should have but I bought some
GS 15's wheels with 245/60R15s that should be perfect for this car !!
Sorry about the Video ending as my batteries died.. Since this Video. I
have removed the top, cured the rust and primed the top area. Also the left
and rear lower quarter panels have been replaced and primed.. Tomorrow the
car will have the seats re done.. Shortly there after.. The paint will be
started.. This car is sweet !! I really love the ride and power.. Old

In stock form, the 1955 Buick Special could best be described as a "nice"
car. It's not drop dead gorgeous like a 1959 Impala, nor does it have the
panache of say a 1956 Chrysler 300. You see the '55 Buick Special was a
working mans car. It had room enough for the whole family, a decent
power-plant thanks to its 264 cubic inch V8, and style that was, well...
above average. Harry Fisher or "Uncle Harry" as most people know him, saw
the old Buick a bit differently though. He knew that with a few little
touches (like a 502 cubic inch big-block, modern suspension, and a new set
of wheels) that this old Buick had the potential to become one of the
baddest hot-rods around.
