Buick Skylark race car 001.MOV

First , the Supercharger "rattle" sound in engine bay is quite normal , and comes from the bearings of the Supercharger. This goes away over 800rpm, and so you will not hear it when you drive. New setup with E85 fuel.... (1978-79 Buick Skylark Custom Sedan) Not original engine - it is a redone ZZ4 block with completely rebalanced rotating assembly ,forged crank and so on- with forged pistons , Dart Pro-1 heads (225 type) , modified by myself , Voodoo 1:7 rockers and much more...and Weiand Supercharger with "Superchiller" Intercooler system (pumps and reservoir in trunk...) , "Proform 850" race carburator with E85 plates and some other mods... this is a one-off engine. Driveline is accordingly to engine , with 10-bolt 3,73 / 4,11 "detroit locker" and all that is needed - "c-clip eliminator kit" , competition engineering "slide-a-link" and all the rest. Car is always considered for sale , to the right person ! (owned by myself since 1987 , so I can guarantee the history of this very rare and completely rust free car... I have all original parts in storage, so it can be taken back to complete original condition.) I can even sell Engine without the car ! Not very expensive compared to build cost - which is high. Can be tested on/off track. Buyer must be a licensed racer, because of the nature of this engine. It is wild.... (shipping not possible , will only trade in person , but I answer email.)

Buick - History Documentary (1995)
This video is a wonderfully-done documentary, written and produced by Michael Rose, on the history of Buick as presented in 1995 from the History Channel's archive. Here is Michael's description of the video verbatim: "No one would have believed that the tinkering of a plumber would turn into the foundation of the world's largest corporation. But it did. David Dunbar Buick invented a process to adhere porcelain to tubs and other bathroom fixtures. But the Scottish immigrant dreamed of making a mark out of the bathroom, and set to work building a car. By 1900, he enlisted the aid of another inventor, Walter Marr, and they built their first vehicle. Their invention attracted the attention of one of Michigan's wealthiest men, William Crapo Durant, the president of the world's largest buggy-building business. As soon as he drove one of Buick's early creations, Durant realized that the days of the horse and buggy were over. He teamed up with Buick, and the two went on to make history. By the thirties, Buicks were regarded as some of the finest cars ever made. From the first Buicks through the birth of General Motors and into history, this is the compelling story of the partnership that eventually became the basis for the largest company in the world."

133223 / 1954 Buick Series 100 Skylark
For more information on this vehicle visit http://tinyurl.com/8e5wyfe Want the ultimate classic to park at shows or parade down Main Street? This Buick is the freshly restored, 100% correct masterpiece you've been looking for! The beneficiary of a no expense spared, nut and bolt rotisserie restoration that was completed in March of 2012, this killer Buick drop-top is one of the most impressive classics we've ever seen! The work began by stripping its smooth Harley Earl designed body to bare metal, blasting it with sand inside and out, and coating everything in a durable weather-proofing epoxy. Once that solid foundation was established, the car's panels were aligned into a straight and precise shape that was block-sanded until it was completely free of any waves or blemishes. Finally, after the clean body was test-fitted and completely disassembled, a correct coat of GM code 8 Cavalier Blue basecoat was buried in a thick clearcoat shell and teased to an excellent shine. Lift this Buick's alligator hood and you'll find an original 322 cubic inch Fireball V8 which wears a correct V4437667 Roadmaster engine stamp, creates a stout 200 horsepower and cranks out a stellar 309 ft./lb. of torque. At the top of that bright green engine, a correct black AC heavy duty air cleaner pipes cool air into a correct, rebuilt 4-barrel carburetor. In front of that air cleaner, a tagged and rebuilt Delco Remy generator spins charge around brand new V-belts. And behind that air cleaner, a correct points distributor sends spark through fresh black plug wires that are neatly loomed between small metal tabs and stamped metal heat shields. On the left side of the engine a glass fluid jar, which is the foundation of the aforementioned optional safety group windshield washer system, hangs behind a tagged Delco yellow cap battery and factory correct power steering. And on the right side of the engine, a newly rebuilt heater/defroster system hangs behind perfectly bent stainless tubes which pipe fluids around the block's numerous contours. Not a detail has been missed in this top notch engine bay, and the correctly decaled powerplant is complemented by a full assortment of well-planned and well-executed details. At the center of the car's floors, an original twin turbine Dynaflow transmission, which wears a 100 series correct M110 build stamp, sends power to a fully rebuilt 10 bolt rear end. Just ahead of that super clean drivetrain you'll find a completely independent front suspension that has been painstakingly restored to factory specifications. Just behind that super clean drivetrain you'll find a rebuilt rear suspension which benefits from that same level of acute detail. Braking is handled by bright red, Dynaflow mandated drums which bring the car to a power-assisted stop in a surprisingly short distance; and turns are aided by Dynaflow mandated power steering that improves both handling and slow speed navigation. And power is put to the pavement through four substantial wire wheels which spin meaty L78-15 wide white wall Coker Classics around pristine white wheel wells and red white and blue Skylark spinner caps. Loaded with virtually every option in the book, this classic Buick's correct GM code 67 interior features a perfect mix of outrageous style and traditional American luxury. The front 4-way adjustable and rear bench seats are stuffed with fresh Foamtex padding, covered in correct block-embossed leather, and trimmed in pristine stainless brightwork. In front of those seats, a metallic blue dash hangs a correct Selectronic AM radio, a rebuilt electric clock and a contoured speaker between a great looking chrome instrument panel and multiple chrome accessory knobs that, among other things, operate the car's optional heater/defroster. At the base of those seats, like-new California carpet is anchored by slick "Skylark" branded sill plates, protected by color-keyed floor mats and flanked by intricately detailed kick panels. At the sides of those seats, Light and Medium Blue door panels hang new chrome door handles and chrome power window switches between mirror-like door toppers and textured stainless scuff plates. And in front of the driver, a flexible spoke steering wheel spins a full chrome horn ring and a body-matched rim around a new chrome gear selector and a body-matched column. Don't miss your chance to own one of the finest Buicks on the planet! Call, click or visit http://RKMotorsCharlotte.com for more information on this awesome car!

1987 Buick Grand National (Regal T-Type Turbo) Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Review
**I made an editing error at the beginning. Thanks a bunch to Streetside Classics of Charlotte, NC for allowing me to film this video! Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at the understated muscle car of the late 80s, the Buick Grand National, this one specifically the Regal T-Type. The GN and the T-Type are identical except for badging and interior trim. It wasn't until you stepped it on up to the GNX did you get the truly different package (which I will explain in the video). The GN is arguably the most menacing looking buick of all time with it's black monochrome paint scheme and turbo charged 3.8 V6 pumping out amazing performance numbers for the time period, even today! A unique experience to be able to check out one of these beasts. During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and Exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle. FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth reviews/tour of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960 Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of YouTube! This is part 1, with the hacking fun the guys had rescuing the car. Look for part two, loaded with road-trip hilarity. The story is printed in the September 2011 issue of HOT ROD Magazine.

1953 BUICK SKYLARK -- A SIX SEATER SPORTS CAR
1953, the 50th anniversary of the Buick motorcar, there appeared this Buick Skylark, one of three GM special editions. The Oldsmobile created the 98 Fiesta convertible, and Cadillac created the El Dorado convertible that were the other two divisions vying for attention. The Skylark was based on the Roadmaster chassis wearing cut down doors and a lowered beltline and top, rounded wheel openings, and wire wheels. The powerplant is a V8, 322 cid with 188 bhp. So you have a sports car that seats six with a powerful engine to boot. There were 1,690 of these Skylarks manufactured and it cost a whopping five grand to buy one of these. By the way, those Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels had a total of 40 spokes. This is a rare example of Buick's experimental car and one hardly ever gets to see one in person. Enjoy looking at this and as always thanks very much for viewing this 1953 Buick Skylark convertible.

Bad-Ass Buick: 1955 Special - /BIG MUSCLE
Owner: • Harry Fisher In stock form, the 1955 Buick Special could best be described as a "nice" car. It's not drop dead gorgeous like a 1959 Impala, nor does it have the panache of say a 1956 Chrysler 300. You see the '55 Buick Special was a working mans car. It had room enough for the whole family, a decent power-plant thanks to its 264 cubic inch V8, and style that was, well... above average. Harry Fisher or "Uncle Harry" as most people know him, saw the old Buick a bit differently though. He knew that with a few little touches (like a 502 cubic inch big-block, modern suspension, and a new set of wheels) that this old Buick had the potential to become one of the baddest hot-rods around.
