Chris Theo was very lucky to escape unscathed from this unfortunate
accident at Heathcote Park. The very well built V8 powered Holden LX
hatchback Torana didn't fare so well.

1974 Manufacturers Championship L34 Torana, Colin Bond
This film, introduced by Colin Bond was produced by the Holden Dealers in
1974 detailing the introduction of the Torana SLR 5000 L34 after the
success of the amazing Torana XU1 featuring Colin Bond, Peter Brock, Harry
Firth, Allan Moffat & Murray Carter. Some wonderful old footage from that
time recreated in the highest quality as we could. All credits to General
Motors Holden with special thanks to Colin Bond for making it available to
us, enjoy! Motor racing is an international language.
The 1974 Australian Manufacturers' Championship was a CAMS sanctioned
Australian national motor racing title open to Group C Touring Cars. The
championship, which was the fourth Australian Manufacturers' Championship,
was won by General Motors-Holden's.

Bob Morris, Allan Moffat and Allan Grice all driving the A9X, a rare moment
in Touring Car History. Also featuring bonus interviews with the drivers
and legendary sponsor of touring car racing Ron Hodgson himself. All
rights Channel 7 Sport, great contributors to Australian motorsport

Amaroo Park was a 1.9 kilometres (1.2 mi) motor racing circuit located in
Annangrove, New South Wales, in the present-day western suburbs of Sydney,
Australia. It was opened in 1967, hosting its first motorcycle meeting on
26 February with a 30 lap production race won by Larry Simons on a BSA
Spitfire in heavy rain. The first dry meeting saw the lap record set by
Jack Ahearn at 63.9 seconds. The road circuit served as a venue for a
variety of competitions including the Castrol 6 Hour motorcycle race,
rounds of the Australian Touring Car Championship, Formula Ford, Formula
5000, historic racing and others. The last Australian Touring Car
Championship round to take place at the circuit was in 1994.

Mark Hayes LC Torana Australia's quickest street car 2009
Street Car Superstars was held on the 26th Jan 2009 at WSID, it's mission
to find Australia's quickest street car. A mandatory 45km cruise, D.O.T
tyre and quickest ET of the day will be crowned Australia's quickest street
car. Mark Hayes LC Torana took the crown with a 8.33 ET, he also won his
bracket "street assisted". This car has run as fast as 8.0 on a Drag Radial
and 7.7 on a full slick.
Mental 540ci V8 blown Torana
Travis Connor's black Pro Street missile is one loud Torana! The car is
powered by a blown and injected 540ci big block V8 and was running deep 7s
at 190+mph at the APSA shootout at Willowbank Raceway recently.
