24 Hours of Lemons in a 1973 Plymouth Fury! - Roadkill Ep. 22
On this episode of Roadkill, Freiburger and Finnegan attack the low-buck
endurance race called 24 Hours of Lemons. Not content do do this ridiculous
race in a reasonable car like a little handling-oriented import, the race
car of choice is a one-owner '73 Plymouth Fury that Freiburger bought for
$200 before setting it on fire a few times and then gutting it into a race
car. The truth behind the scenes of this episode is that much of it was
shot almost a year ago, and back then the guys didn't want to air it.
You'll have to watch to see why. But now, in 2013, the story came full
circle in a way that it only can on Roadkill, and so here we finally
present the whole story.
Roadkill appears every fourth Friday on the Motor Trend channel.

Shelby Cobra Crash

At a local car show, we were thanking everyone for coming. We decided to
film everyone leaving so we could put a quick video together for
memories... Unfortunately, the story ends badly with this Shelby Cobra.
This car is a monster! Although it is a Replica, it was featured with a
Big Block. The outcome is not good, but THANKFULLY no one was hurt.

1976 AMC Hornet X for sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis, MO showroom
For sale is a 1976 AMC Hornet X. The Hornet X was AMC's sports coupe and
they are getting harder and harder to find. Development of the Hornet model
took AMC three years, a million man-hours, and $40 million. The Hornet was
an all-new design sharing no major body components, but utilizing some of
the Rambler American's chassis and drivetrain. An all-new front suspension
with anti-brake dive was developed for AMC's large-sized "senior" 1970
models, and instead of developing lighter components for the new
compact-size platform, the same parts were incorporated into the Hornet.
This '76 is painted gloss black with white stripes running the length of
the car. The interior is comprised of black vinyl. Under the hood you will
find the numbers matching 4.0L inline six cylinder engine and an automatic
transmission both of which have 20,000 miles since rebuild. The 4.0L engine
is similar to the engine used by Jeep and is known for its durability and
lifespan. Other options include: A/C, AM/FM Radio, CD Player, Hatchback
Tent, Power Steering, Seat Belts, and Aluminum/Alloy Wheels. To view this
car please visit www.gate-wayclassiccars.com or our St. Louis showroom. For
more information please call 618-271-3000.

1969 AMC AMX 390 V8 Four Speed Muscle Car
I thought you'd like a look at this nicely restored 1969 AMC AMX. The
exterior is coated in a gloss red, with silver stripes running the length
of the vehicle. The interior is a rare option Platinum vinyl. Under the
hood, you will find a 390 CID V8 backed by 4-spd manual transmission. The
engine offers a mild camshaft, forged pistons, roller rockers, and has been
balanced. The rear end is a 3.54 posi grip. Other options include: AM/FM
Radio, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Tilt Wheel, Seat Belts, Vinyl
Interior, and Radial Tires. There were no short cuts taken on this
restoration. Many of the parts used are NOS and the mileage since rebuild
is just 325 miles! Thanks for taking a look!

Instruments: Guitar, Bass, Kit, Organ, EP
With a jumping bass and off-beat syncopation, this is straight from
Memphis' Beale Street. The Hammond organ and electric guitar play together
as longtime friends, while the melody changes hands from guitar to organ to
electric piano. 011
