84 Trans Am Cold Start
Cold Start, it was about 23 degrees Fahrenheit (-5 Celsius). The car has a
Holley 600CFM 4 barrel carb. Looks like the choke didn't help much. I know
it was set because I checked it before taking the video.
Ported Vacuum vs Intake Manifold Vacuum
This shows how my Chevy 350 reacts to different vacuum sources. It seems
using full intake manifold vacuum makes it idle rough and misfire.
Total mechanical timing is set to 36 degrees all in by 2000 RPM. Nothing
else was changed when switching between the 2 vacuum sources.
1984 Firebird SE 350 crate with magnaflow muffler
This is my daily driver so i wanted something kinda mellow at idle and
cruise, but like any hotrodder, i wanted it to talk to me when i got on the
loud pedal. Well this muffler does just that, it's nice and mellow (a
little deeper than stock but lower db than stock!) at idle and cruise but
absolutely SCREAMS at WOT. GM 260hp 350 crate, hooker 2460 shorties,
Walter Racecraft y-pipe and 3" single back to a single in/out magnaflow
muffler dumped under the rear bumper.
