New Lamborghini V12 Engine Assembly
Finally, some hard facts right from Lamborghini.
The Italian supercar-maker has announced details on its new V12 power plant which is expected to debut in the upcoming Murcielago replacement recently speculated to be named Aventador.
The new engine is a naturally aspirated 6.5 liter V12, known internally as the L539, with a total output of 515 kW (700 PS) at 8,250 rpm and 690 Nm of torque available at an engine speed of 5,500 rpm.
The new V12 was developed by Lamborghini at its Sant'Agata Bolognese facility. It comes with a classic cylinder bank of 60 degrees and is compact - measuring 665 millimeters tall, 848 mm wide and 784 mm in length. It has a bore diameter of 95 mm and a cylinder stroke of 76.5 mm. The nitride-hardened crankshaft weighs just 24.6 kg while the engine weighs a total of 234 kg.
The 6.5 liter V12 also comes with two mufflers in a single casing - one low-volume and the other high for that pitch-perfect Lambo sound.
Also newly developed to accompany this engine is the ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) transmission. A 7-speed, single clutch gearbox with exceptionally quick shift times due to the independent shifting rods - Lamborghini claims almost 50 percent less than a standard dual-clutch gearbox. The independent shift rods work similar in concept to a dual-clutch - as one rod is disengaging the current gear, the second rod is already engaging the next one.
Weight reduction is a theme here too, as the new gearbox weighs in at just 70 kg.
The transmission comes with three driver settings - Strada, Sport and Corsa mode - with Corsa mode made for high-performance driving that also includes a launch control function.

BMW 1-Series M Coupe teaser video from Paris
Well, the car made it to Paris but it didn't stick around for the show.
BMW has released these teaser photos of the 1-Series M Coupe posing rather coyly on the Champs d'Elysées hiding mostly behind a black veil.
What we do get to see is the wider track this model is sporting as opposed to the standard 1-Series. We also get a glimpse of the air vents on the rear bumper, the outline of the undercover rear spoiler, and the previously spotted quad-Exhaust.
Under the hood we suspect a twin-turbo inline 6-cylinder (the N54) dialed up to around the 350 PS (257 kW / 345 bhp) mark. The 1-Series M will likely come only with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The 1-Series M Coupe is slated for launch sometime in 2011.

2013 Lotus Esprit Paris Promo
The Lotus bonanza continues as the company has unveiled the £110,00 Esprit revival.
Set to go on sale in 2013, the car features an aggressive front bumper, LED daytime driving lights, and a center-mounted dual Exhaust system. Inside, the cabin has a minimalist design with a sport steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and carbon fiber trim.
Power is provided by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine with 550 PS (405 kW / 543 hp). It is connected to a seven-speed paddle-shift transmission, which should enable the 1495 kg (3,296lb) car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds. Of course, if that doesn't sound fast enough, Lotus will happily sell you an Esprit R with 620 PS (456 kW / 612 hp).

Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale LOUD sound! Start-up, revs and details!
Gijs records a gorgeous brand new Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale at a Ferrari/Maserati dealership in The Netherlands. This Maserati arrived yesterday at the dealership, so off course I had to go and see it. I was very lucky that they started it up, revved it and parked it somewhere else. The sound is really amazing! Maserati Granturismo MC Stradale LOVELY Sound - Start Up & Revs -
This is a gorgeous Maserati Granturismo MC Stradale in white paint with "MC Stradale" livery and black rims. The car was filmed during a Supercar Event and there were other Maserati too.

Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale in action on the Nürburgring! Loud sounds!
Gijs records another Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale, this time it's a black one during the GranTurismo event at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. I really love this brand new Maserati! Pulled over by police: Maserati Granturismo MC Stradale & Ferrari 458 Italia!

This Ferrari 458 Italia and Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale were driving through Monaco a bit too aggressive. This was noticed by the police, who pulled them over. I am not sure if they got a warning or a ticket, both cars were allowd to to go after a few minutes and a good talk.
