Ford Endeavour 4x4 AT vs Tata Aria 4x4 Pride Comparison, Ford Endeavour advice for Indian car buyers
http://www.CarToq.com brings you a video comparison of the Ford Endeavour 4x4 AT with the Tata Aria Pride 4x4.
The Ford Endeavour is an SUV, while the Tata Aria is an MPV. So does it make sense to compare the two?
Well, it does. The Indian car buyer does not always differentiate between the two, and the primary objective of the SUV buyer is to car around 7 people - something he shares with the Indian MPV buyer. But he also wants the macho image that an SUV offers. The Tata Aria offers itself to these buyers with the proposition that it is cheaper, it is also 4x4, has deent ground clearance, and has more features and creature comforts than the Ford Endeavour. The combination of factors, Tata hopes, will tilt the scales in its favour.
We find that there is some substance to the claims of Tata Aria in this video comparison. Sure, if you want extreme SUV and offroading capabilities, you will need the Endeavour, and for image. But if most of your driving is on roads and you would take the vehicle off road only occasionally, you should take a close look at the Tata Aria.

Best Performance Mid-size Sedans in India: Video Comparison by CarToq.com
Here, http://www.CarToq.com compares four popular mid-size performance sedans. They are:
Honda City: http://www.cartoq.com/groups/honda-city/
Hyundai Verna: http://www.cartoq.com/groups/hyundai-fluidic-verna/
Ford Fiesta: http://www.cartoq.com/groups/ford-fiesta/
Skoda Fabia: http://www.cartoq.com/groups/skoda-fabia/
Fiat Linea: http://www.cartoq.com/groups/fiat-linea/
All of these mid-size sedans have their fans in India - and all the cars have their unique pluses and minuses. The Honda City petrol is much loved for its free revving engine and great on road manners. The Ford Fiesta is the best handling of the lot, as is typical of most Ford cars - but the car is let down by its lack of power.
The Fiat Linea is a favourite of car enthusiasts - but its a sales flop, sadly. Most of this cane be attributed to the problems in the Tata-Fiat alliance. Enthusiasts swear by the Linea, and things may improve for this car now that Tata and Fiat have gone their separate ways.
Hyundai's Verna is the plushest of the lot - and has oodles of power. It however is a softly sprung car that does not have the best handling. The manners of the car are no hassle for the regular Indian driver who will be too happy with its features and cool quotient, but this is not a car for the enthusiast.
The Skoda Fabia - practically a bad engineered Volkswagen Punto - is also gaining a reputation as a solid car that is fun to drive.

► 2012 Renault Fluence ZE [CRASH TEST]
In the frontal test, the passenger compartment remained stable. However, there was insufficient pressure in the driver's airbag to prevent the head from making contact, through the fabric of the airbag, with the rim of the steering wheel. The car was penalised for this 'bottoming out' of the airbag. Renault has informed Euro NCAP that they are investigating the issue with a view to making improvements. Structures in the dashboard were thought to present a hazard to the knees and femurs of the driver and passenger. In the side barrier test, protection of the chest was adequate and that of other body regions was good. In the more severe side pole test, dummy readings of rib deflection indicated weak protection of the chest. The seat and head restraint provided marginal protection against whiplash injuries in the event of a rear-end collision. The car was checked after all of the tests and no electrical hazards were found.
