Révélation du Renault Kadjar
Le 2 février dernier, à la Cité du Cinéma de Saint-Denis, c’est en grande pompe que Carlos Ghosn et Renault ont dévoilé le Kadjar. Le grand frère du Captur et nouveau venu dans le monde des crossovers compacts. Enfin (!) serions-nous tentés de dire. Le segment des SUV représente en effet 21% du marché européen soit 1,5 million de ventes par an. Alors pourquoi Renault se lance-t-il dans la bataille avec autant de retard ? Début de réponse avec Delphine de Andria, directrice de la gamme des véhicules compacts chez Renault. Mais face à une concurrence déjà bien installée avec notamment les Peugeot 3008 et autres Nissan Qashqai, la nouvelle Renault aura fort à faire. C’est pourquoi le constructeur s’est attaché à soigner certains éléments de la voiture. Le Kadjar, qui partage environ 40% de ses éléments avec le Qashqai, reprend certains détails de son cousin nippon, comme ce décroché de la vitre de custode. Il s’inspire aussi des dernières créations Renault avec cette imposante calandre mais aussi ces jupes latérales et ces feux arrières façon Clio ou encore la nouvelle signature lumineuse en forme de « C » du nouvel Espace. Les ailes bombées et bien marquées sont elles bien plus originales et donnent du muscle à l’ensemble. Le Kadjar mise également beaucoup sur son look de baroudeur avec sa garde au sol de 19 cm, ses sabots avant et arrière ou encore ses barres de toit en aluminium anodisé. De quoi plaire à une large clientèle…. Pour le reste, la marque au losange se montre moins diserte. L’habitacle est en effet encore entouré de mystère, même si Delphine de Andria nous en révèle quelques détails. Même chose pour l’offre de motorisation qui ne sera révélée qu’à l’occasion du prochain salon de Genève. Ce Renault Kadjar sera commercialisé au début de l’été à un tarif pour le moment non communiqué. Renault nous a toutefois assuré que celui-ci s’alignerait sur la concurrence. Le Kadjar pourrait donc débuter aux alentours des 23.000€, avec un objectif bien précis.
