Ford's reintroduced for 2010 Taurus SHO was already a very capable sedan, coming with 365 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque and a 0-60 mph time of around 6.0 seconds. In fact, the EcoBoosted V-6 SHO was even able to hold its own against a V-8 powered Audi A6, as you'll see by clicking here, so the latest 2013 model making its debut this week at the 2011 New York Auto Show must be really something special.

2011 Taurus SHO Turbo installation
This is how they install the one of the twin turbo's on the 2011 Ford Taurus SHO 3.5L engine at the Cleveland, OH plant. This was filmed on a private tour of the plant by the SHOCLUB during the 2010 SHO Convention in Dearborn, MI.
Ford Taurus SHO
This is a 1994 Taurus SHO 5 speed. Of all Taurus' built in 1994, only 1% were 5 speed SHO's. Of that 1%, many have fallen to attrition, making this Taurus a rare and desirable car. The Taurus SHO 5 speed was a world beating car in it's day. THE ONLY four door sedans in the entire world that were faster were from BMW 5 M series and the 750.
The car has been sold
0 to 60 in 6.5 seconds. Quarter mile in 14.9 seconds at 95 mph. Top speed of 145 mph. All this while getting 30 mpg on the freeway and hauling your entire family at the same time! Now that's having your cake... and eating it too. Heck to the ya.
