Another minor task completed. About all that is left is removal of the start, torque converter bolts and transmission bolts and it comes out!

TPI Porting Secrets. Runners. High Flow Fuel Injection. Ported L98.
This video shows a simple porting procedure done to stock TPI runners that will allow for a smoother transition of airflow from the plenum to the runners and into the base manifold. Tools used are: Carbide open flute non ferrous bit, for use with aluminum. 2" long x 1/2" diameter 80 grit cartridge rolls on a short 2-3" mandrel. High speed die grinder and air supply.

Testing TPI injector with homemade fuel injector tester
Testing my old TPI injectors with my homemade injector tester I made at work. How it's put together: Audi 80 in-tank fuel pump put in an old soda bottle with the top cut off. Fuel pump pressure line connected to a Saab 9-5 fuel rail with built-in pressure regulator. Return line goes back in the soda bottle. Fuel pump connected to a 12V cig lighter plug, 12V and ground also connected via a push-button to an old Bosch EV1 connector taken from a E30 BMW 320i. I just put the injector i want to test in the rail, connect the cig. plug to a 12V startBooster and the pump will pressurize the rail. When the rail is pressurized you will see if the injector nozzles are leaking. To see the spray pattern i just stick the injector tip in a clear Coke bottle and click the push-button. Cheap and easy to make and serves it's purpose well.

Small update on the progress.. finishing up compression testing on the passenger side and removing the accessories. Not much else to report.

Vacuum lines on 87 Camaro IROC-Z 350 TPI
I missed some detail, plus anyone see or know I have something routed wrong or missing, let me know. I know I don't have a vacuum ball in fender. and well when I bought it it was smacked pretty good on the drivers side, not sure if its for cruise control only, I will be checking into that. also I left out talking and showing the vacuum line that comes off the heater control valve, I think it runs back and routes into the firewall aswell. I did this quick vid for another member who wants to see how the lines are routed, maybe it will help some. I hurried the vid, I would of took more time on detail, and going over things but I had to get going, I had to take a

How to properly set your throttle position sensor on your 305 TPI engine. Will work on many other adjustable tps, please check to be sure your using the correct setting, not all vehicles require it be set at .54 V.





88 IROC, TPI swap to carb
My 88 IROC 305 with a 5 speed, converted the tuned port to carb. Have a Holley street dominator manifold, 650 Holley double pumper, accel cap an rotor, msd coil. Eliminated the AC and smog pump, just a brief video for now till I tune the carb. Have many parts for sale from the tuned port if anyone is interested. Thanks for viewing...
