HOW TO FIX RAV4 ECM ECU TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. **READ DESCRIPTION!**
I HAVE RECENTLY DISCOVERED BY TALKING TO SOMEBODY THAT SUCCESSFULLY
REPAIRED THEIR ECU THAT THE RESISTORS DO NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED! THE
PROBLEM IS A POOR CONNECTION BETWEEN THE RESISTORS AND THE CIRCUIT BOARD SO
ALL U NEED TO DO IS RE-SOLDER THEM!
ALSO, I WOULD RECOMMEND REPAIRING THE THREE GROUND POINTS ON THE CIRCUIT
BOARD WHERE THEY CONTACT THE ALUMINUM HOUSING. *IF YOU CANNOT FIGURE OUT
HOW TO DO THIS OR ARE UNSURE OF ANY STEP YOU SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT REPAIR AND
INSTEAD SEND YOUR ECU TO SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING* check
engine etc in ny is who i would recommend.

How to Reset the ECM
After watching the Smack resetting the ECM and getting a huge increase in
mpg, I started looking up how to reset the ECM.
There are a few different ways, but they all pretty much say the same
thing, just in different ways. The majority of the info I gleaned was from
high performance car sites where people add after market parts and need to
reset the ECM so their vehicles will adjust to the new equipment and
variables. Hopefully this will help us with our cells/systems.

10 Min Automatic Transmission Fluid Flush + Replacement (Most Cars)
Ever wanted to do a complete Automatic Transmission Service with a Fluid
Flush and Fluid Change! Well now you can do it in 10 Minutes! This DIY is
super easy really fast and ridiculously cheap. The reason we didn't change
the filter is because the filter on this transmission is internal and you
would have to take apart the transmission to get to it. There is a a
filter for the shift solenoid that can be cleaned to improve shifting.
There is a small black round filter for the transmission, its under the air
box near the solenoid that could be changed if you want to be more

2004 Toyota Sienna LE Immobilizer Key Programming - How To
How to program Toyota immobilizer keys. This method worked for my 2004
Toyota Sienna LE and will work for many other late model Toyotas with
immobilizer keys. Note that in this video I tried to program 2 keys. The
first key worked not problem but the second key couldn't be programmed due
to what I guess is my van having the maximum number of keys allowed
programmed into the ECU. I purchased a total of 3 keys off of eBay from
seller "yourkeysupplier" for $9 each. His communication is great and I had
no problems programming the keys until I hit the maximum limit on my van.
Be warned that unless you go to the dealer you will have no way of knowing
how many keys you can program into your ECU before hitting the limit.
Instructions I followed:
1. Using a master key (original key), insert (and remove) it from the
ignition 5 times. On the 5th time, leave it in the ignition, then:
2. Open and close the driver's door 6 times.
3. Remove the master key. The security light should now stay lit red.
4. Insert the newly cut key. The security light should be blinking red;
wait about 60 seconds until the light stops blinking and turns off.
5. Remove the new key. Insert the old master key and start the engine and
turn it off.
Your new key should have been programmed and ready for use.

ECM/PCM Computer Replacement
Engine control computers can be complicated and frequently high-priced
products. Avoiding unnecessary replacements and warranty returns are
important to professional technicians and consumers. Most problems
resulting in warranty returns can be avoided by following the proper
Before, During, and After installation procedures.
Replacing SCV Valves Toyota D4D
This is a video to show you how simple it is to replace damaged SCV valves
on a Toyota D4D engine.
Damaged valves can cause loss of power from the engine, which was my case.
In the Northern Europe, the diesel in the wintertime is often dry, so it
wont oil the fuelpump as much as requested. Thats usually the main reason
for trouble with the valves.
First, remove the expansion tank, and then screw loose the valves. Unpluck
the cables, tap them out with out with a screwdriver, oil the o-rings on
the new ones, and put them gently in, then knock them carefully at the top
with a hammer to get them in the last bit.
( Yes, this is a video me and my dad made. It's not very professionally
filmed, and we were a bit clumsy, but lets hope it helps you out :) )
Toyota Engine Oil Sludge: Another Dangerous Defect?
IMPORTANT: Go to http://www.uc2.blogspot.com to find out the latest Toyota
news. Check out the Toyota engine oil sludge petition at
http://www.petitiononline.com/TMC2003/petition.html. Documention is
essential. Toyota has claimed that only 3,200 owners have complained about
the problem, but the online Toyota owner petition already has 3,200+
signatories. The NHTSA database sits and collects dust as it says this
engine problem is not safety-related. Let it know if the engine failure
compromised the safety of you or your family! Some failures have occurred
on major highways!
In light of the current spotlight on Toyota regarding the deadly sudden
unintended acceleration, the public needs to know about the organized
"Toyota Owners Unite for Resolution" online group. These owners tried to
go through the normal complaint channels to no avail. Toyota knows this.
The owners have been blamed for this serious engine malady. Toyota
continues to stonewall Toyota owners when engine sludge appears. This is
The TOUR group wonders if the same treatment may have been given to the SUA
group. What can the victims of SUA (Sudden Unintended Acceleration) add in
reflecting on Toyota's actions? Have they, too, been stonewalled for years
about this problem? Is there more information that needs to come from
these Toyota owners? If so, when will their stories be told in the public
Are there other problems, such as the Sienna "sticking" sliding doors, the
ABS brake failures in light snow or rain conditions, the drifting/pulling
steering, the premature tire wear, the transmission failures, etc., that
have brought Toyota owners together online? Have Toyota proponents
minimized the situation or personally attacked the messenger online?
What has been the NHTSA reaction? Has it been proactive and investigated
fully all safety-related complaints? Or, has it dragged its feet along
with Toyota in responding to potentially deadly situations? Does the
public just assume that everything possible is being done as promptly as
possible? Or, has it finally realized that too often it is the automaker
that gets the best treatment from the NHTSA while the vehicle owner gets
let down AND footing the bill on several levels?
When will the auto consumers (consumers in general) get the protection they
need? Will the current administration strengthen the consumer protection
laws and give the consumer agencies the support that they need to
adequately be our "watchdogs?" Why is it that right now the consumer must
be forced to take matters into his/her own hands in order to seek justice?
This is not right!
Toyota Ignition Key Programming
Toyota Ignition Key Programming
Video describes "How to program a Toyota Ignition Key" to your vehicle's
anti-theft computer. If your vehicle has an ignition key with a plastic
backing, then it has an electronic digital chip inside. Most 1996 and newer
vehicles have transponder chips inside the ignition key.
Learn the exact procedure for programming new Toyota ignition key. This
procedure is only for Toyota. It won't work with another vehicle. Our video
exposes you to this information using the best CG animation and
Step-by-Step details. Remember, you must have one working key to be able to
program extra keys. So, if you purchased your used Toyota or lost one of
your keys, use this video and program a new key at a cost of $20 for your
blank key, from any locksmith. Otherwise, if you loose your only key, then
you'll have to replace the anti-theft module and program new keys at a cost
of a few hundred dollars. We hope you enjoy our video and save money.
