Typically, when BMW releases a new M3, it launches it in coupe form first. (In fact, sales of the M3 sedan have, in North America at least, slowed to such an extent that BMW NA was tempted to stop bringing it here altogether.) But not the new model -- according to the latest intel, the next-gen M3 will arrive in four-door guise first.
2014 BMW M3 / M4 (F80/F82)
Interior and exterior renderings of the next generation 2013/2014 BMW M3 (F80/F8). The M3 coupe may still be called the M4. It is still not known. Personally I hope they don't call the coupe an M4.
What is known is that power will come from an all new V6 OR inline-6 (depending on which publication you read) engine that will be powered by twin turbos. The new M3 will have around 450 hp, making it the fastest production model M3 yet, with 0-60 times dropping to an estimated 4.0 seconds.
620hp Vorsteiner BMW M3 GTRS3 supercharged
This is Vorsteiner's GTRS3 widebody conversion for the E92 BMW M3. The car has a 620hp Active Autowerke sueprcharger conversion, Brembo GTR brakes, Vorsteiner wheels, KW V3 suspension and the body is wrapped in a Wraptivo matte vinyl film.

2013 BMW M5 Tested: M1 & M2 Drive Buttons
During Automotive Rhythms' test drive today with the new 5th generation 2013 BMW M5 at Ascari Race Resort in Spain, we were able to experiment with the performance sedan's two new M Drive buttons which are a part of MMI or Man Machine Interface. Two individually configured set-ups for the M5 can be called up using the new M Drive buttons on the steering wheel; range of programmable parameters unique in the segment: engine response, M Servotronic responses, Drivelogic shift program, DSC mode, Dynamic Damper Control and information in the Head-Up Display.

BRUTAL BMW E60 M5 meisterschaft acclerations - Powerslide, on board, revving, and more!
I recently had the incredible opportunity to do a photoshoot and get a ride in this stunning blue BMW E60 M5. This particular M5 has a meisterschaft Exhaust system, which makes the V10 absolutely scream. A list of mods to this car include miestershaft gtc Exhaust, catless headers, turner motorsport software, turner motorsport pulleys, hr lower springs, and 21in BBS wheels. The combination of all those things create the most stunning M5 I have ever seen with about 570HP. Artist known as WildSpeed has rendered the 2014 BMW M3 sedan.
The next-generation M3 may come to feature a new six-cylinder power plant but no details have been confirmed. There have been reports that BMW will create a new triple-turbo six-pot or a turbocharged V6 (yes, V6) for the next M3.
But a previous report said that a new triple-turbo 3.2 liter unit producing 450 PS (331 kW / 444 bhp) was the front-runner for the next M3.
The next-generation 2012 BMW 3-Series is due for an unveiling on October 14.
