Owner: • Gordon Tronson In the world of hot-rodding there are few cars that are going to leave as big an impression as this - the 1927 Ford Model T custom simply known as "Double-Trouble". It rides on a custom-built tube chassis that's fabricated from 1.5-inch tube. Is powered by two 4.6-liter modular V8s from Ford with four, count 'em, FOUR Superchargers for an approximate power output of around 1,200 hp. It also utilizes the rear-end (inboard disc brakes and all) from an early Jaguar. It's a rolling a Hot Wheels car and a masterpiece of engineering that is sure to make all your naughty bits tingle.

1963 1/2 FORD FALCON SPRINT -- FIRST YEAR OF THE SPRINT
Sculptured bodysides and squared up roofs identify the '63 Falcons. The Sprint was a Falcon version that presented a racier and more sporty version. This Sprint hardtop is one of 10,479 units sold. Sprints also came in a convertible coupe version of which only 4,602 units were sold. Engine installed in these Sprints was a V8, 260 cid with 164 bhp. The price tag for the hardtop was $2,320 and $2,600 for the ragtop. I was always fond of those large round taillights that identified Ford products for years. The interior in this Sprint surprised me. I never thought a Falcon product would have such a wonderful interior like this. And if you're one of the many enthusiasts looking for a fun classic that's both unique and cool, it's your ticket to car guy nirvana! In typical 60s Detroit fashion Ford's first generation Falcon, adorned with curved surfaces and creases that stretch from stem to stern, is incredibly hard to make straight once it's been overhauled or reworked. Fortunately, the metal on this compact coupe has been subjected to a professional restoration that involved good panel alignment and an astute attention to detail. Hoist this Futura's bright red hood and you'll find a beefy Ford V8 that's been fully rebuilt and dressed to impress. When the car officially transformed into the old school hot rod you see today, every one of its details was upgraded in the name of both performance and aesthetics. And presently, the smooth mill looks great displaying a thick coat of Jet Black paint inside a nice layer of chrome and traditional, Satin Black fenders. The engine gets its air and fuel from an Edelbrock Performer intake which props a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and chrome, open element cleaner beneath a snazzy Ford wing nut. Fire is provided by a Mallory Unilite distributor, which sends spark across stamped and chromed valve covers via fresh Radio Resistance wires. And spent gases are handled by a slick pair of coated Doug's headers, which connect to either manually operated cut-outs or coated, true-dual pipes. Motivation is provided by a reliable 4-speed transmission, which spins a traditional 9-inch rear end. Braking is provided by a combination of manual front discs and familiar rear drums, which do an excellent job facilitating drama-free stops. There's a fully rebuilt suspension, which is currently fitted with fresh KYB Gas-a-Just shocks. And traction is maximized by a fresh set of American Racing Torq Thrust Ds, which ride on 205/70R14 Firestone FT70 radials. This cool Ford's correct and tasteful interior is a classy reminder of the days when style and appeal were the central focus of automotive design. At the front of the car, a fully restored dash hangs pristine stainless trim between a vintage Sprint tachometer, a direct-fit cassette deck and modern, chrome-trimmed auxiliary gauges. In front of that dash, completely rebuilt and recovered seats provide the perfect spot for Main Street cruise nights. Below those seats, fade-free carpet centers a familiar Hurst shifter between a classy console, clean Ford sills and color-keyed floor mats. And in front of the driver, an impressive Ford steering wheel spins a burled wood rim around bright chrome spokes. This Is the Chuckles Garage "Strange Bird" 1962 Ford Falcon Futura A/GS drag car. The car is powered by a Littlefield Supercharged 401 Buick Nailhead that was originally in a 1960's drag boat. The motor sports a custom blower manifold made here at the shop, custom pistons, custom rods, wild Comp cam, Comp lifters, custom valve springs, custom hi-flow valves, mild port work, custom pushrods, custom headers made in-house,vintage Weiand valve covers, dual Buick Wildcat Rochester 4 Jets that were modified for use with the blower with custom non-progressive linkage, Nicson front cover/engine mount, custom motor plate, custom oil pan, and its backed by a built switch pitch ST400 transmission that is from a 65 Riviera. Front suspension is a Speedway straight axle kit with custom made two position shackles, and custom panhard. Rear suspension is stock leaf springs with custom 66" long heavy wall ladder bars. Rear axle is a Lincoln Versailles unit with 4.56 gears. Tires are Hurst Racing Super Cushions in the front, and Hurst 30x10 Piecrust slicks in the back. Wheels are Vintage American Racing Magnesium spindle mounts up front (no front brakes) and vintage Shelby Cal 500's out back. Seats are set back almost to the rear seat. Gauges are a Sun Super tach, and vintage Stewart Warner oil, temp, amp. The car will have a 6 point cage, and a passenger seat as well when it is finished. This is a period exhibition car, so it will not conform to current NHRA spec. The car is being built to the 1966 NHRA rule book. It has the maximum crank center height of 25", and near the maximum amount of engine set back as well. Maximum setback was determined by the wheelbase. You are allowed 10% of the wheelbase measured from the axle centerline to the first sparkplug hole. This engine is set back 10" The car sports a fill .120 wall frame that will be tied in to the .120 wall roll cage. It's very sturdy.
