De S6 is altijd een beetje een bijzonder geval binnen het Audi-gamma geweest: aan de ene kant moest-ie zich genoeg onderscheiden van de gewone modellen, aan de andere kant mocht de auto ook weer niet de heftige RS6 in de wielen rijden. Een lastige spagaat voor de S6. Bij de nieuwe generatie heeft de dorstige V10 plaatsgemaakt voor een geblazen V8, die we ook kennen uit de Bentley Continental GT. Frank Jacobs zocht voor ons uit wat het bestaansrecht van deze S6 is.
