180 MPH: 2009 Corvette ZO6 INSIDE AND OUT - Flybys, Acceleration & High Speed Run
Driver's note: A few slow shifts are the result me taking caution as the Goodyear Eagle F1 tires were not 100% warm. Also, gigantic, uneven expansion joints on highway bridges and overpasses are the reason for the random throttle lifts at 0:16 & 2:05. During both 4 - 5 gear shifts at about 155 MPH, I was approaching expansion joints that warranted a brief speed check. Hear the rockin' LS7, 7.0 Liter V8 roar from inside this Velocity Yellow Corvette ZO6 and out with several flybys and redline shifts that crackle and pop as the car preps for the next gear ratio. Quite a few highway and street pulls including 20-160 MPH and 120-180 MPH. Watch this monster pull away at full throttle through the gears and then disperse a cloud of brake dust while converting its speed into heat. A BMW 335i coupe decided he wanted to try and overtake this beast -- and failed.
