Driving the SVX home from the store. 3 days and the high compression eg33 is in the car, had a little trouble with the first set of fuel injectors but put the originals back in and it runs like a top.





Subaru SVX Power Mode Mod Install
DISCLAIMER: You assume any and all responsibility for any damage you may cause or as a result of attempting this mod. *though, it is very straight forward and easy to do, some cavemen may not be able to pull it off ;) * *Power Mode Mod* I decided to make a video as I have not seen anyone document outside of a few pictures and write up on the forums. It is incredibly easy to do. This mod keeps the aggressive power mode, or sport mode on, the entire time. The JDM SVX had a switch button in place on the gear selector to turn on "power" mode at any given time and defaulted in economy mode but most everyone else did not have this option with power mode only being activated when smashing on the gas pedal quickly. One of the easiest, best mods to do for instant results but it is recommended to install a switch so you can turn it off during long highway speed travels. I ran it for about 25 minutes after installing and can't believe I've waited 3 years to install this 20-25 minute mod on my SVX. With that said, it baffles me to why Subaru would not have included this option for the states, as it does indeed make quite a bit of difference, you'll notice! Svx walkaround and running rough.
92 svx I picked up before it got junked. It wasn't running when I got it. Replace knock sensors, pcv, all hoses and vacuum lines. No vacuum leaks. Tested all the solenoids. Cleaned out the entire intake manifold with carb and choke cleaner. Egr port was clogged. Cleaned maf, air filter, iacv, aav. Seaformed, fresh oil, 93 octane, good voltage, no leaks or overheating. Update: replaced the maf and so far everything is running good!
