Borla Cat-Back Exhaust Upgrade! Unboxing, Installation & Initial Impressions - 2002 Ford Thunderbird
Not too long ago, I upgraded my Dodge Charger RT with a Borla S-Type Exhaust. I've been very happy with the setup, a perfect balance of loud with no drone, perfect for my daily driver. In the back of my mind, I've always wanted to do the same thing to my wife's 2002 Ford Thunderbird. It's already such a unique car, an Exhaust would really top it off. Since Borla is the only Exhaust manufacturer to offer a setup for this car, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to film another two part video series for those of you who not only like to hear a great sounding Exhaust system, but if you're considering a similar setup on your car, you'll be able to see what it's all about. This video focuses on unboxing, checking out the components, installation, some before and after shots, initial impressions, first start up, a start up with open headers and more! The second video will be my new Pure Sound video format. As the name suggests, that video will focus entirely on sound, demonstrating the Exhaust setup in a variety of ways from different camera angles, static revs and inboard driving shots to acceleration, GoPro bumper shots, cold starts and more. I hope you guys enjoy and I'm more than happy to answer any and all questions to the best of my abilities! Again, if you're looking for a similar setup on your Thunderbird, here's a LINK to this particular Exhaust: http://www.borla.com/products/thunderbird_catback_Exhaust_part__140008.html A big thanks to Northpoint Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram for allowing me to film the installation! 2002 Ford Thunderbird Roadster " SOLD " Drager's International Classic Sales 206-533-9600
2002 Ford Thunderbird Roadster. #1FAHP60A02Y100975. This is a beautiful Ford Thunderbird I really like the red color and this one has a two-tone red and black interior. The Thunderbird came out of an estate from Ford Thunderbird collector. It was then garage keep by the new owner. The only reason he sold it to me was he found another one with very low mileage. This one has 66,000 miles on it looks very very nice. This is the 2nd one I have owned with the red and black two-tone interior. They really look great. I like these Thunderbirds for how well they run and drive. This is a luxury sports car and may be more luxury then sports car. They are loaded with options. This one has both tops. If you're like me you will take this hard top off and hang it in the garage and never use it. For 66,000 miles this Thunderbird is very clean. You look at the door jams and they just clean and look new. Now you can find bad spots in the paint but they have been touched up so they do not stand out at all. When you look at the photos you will see what I mean. Looking at the underside it's clean so it has not been driven in the rain much. Interior is very nice. The drivers seat has a stain spot other wise every thing looks great. Engine compartment again is like the rest of the car clean. Cond. # 2-. Drager's International Classic Sales 18805 Aurora Ave. N. 2005 Ford Thunderbird Start Up Quick Tour & Rev With Exhaust View - 88K
2005 Ford Thunderbird This year T-Bird has a 280 Hp 3.9L DOHC V8 & it's paired to a 5 Speed auto. Impressive HP for such a small displacement but FYI this engine is actually a smaller version of the Jaguar 4.0L V8. It's a nice car to look at & handling will be good as it's the same Lincoln LS/Jaguar S-Type DEW98 platform. I've driven the LS & the only thing I loved was it's handling! But IMO the T-Bird was just pointless & overpriced at $40,000. I'd put it together with other meaningless cars like the Plymouth Prowler & Chevrolet SSR lol. If you went to a Ford dealership, you were better off getting a Mustang GT Convertible which at the time was $8000-$10,000 less & thats what most people did.
