Drift Camaro - How To Enjoy a Blown Big Block Chev!
Half burnout - half drift session, this awesome display shows how much fun a blown big block Camaro can be. Peter Gray is the pilot and he's not shy in throwing the black beast around the old Springnats skid pan.
Australia's Quickest Nitrous Car - Wilson/Kryger Camaro
Edit: It's been pointed out there might be a couple of quicker Nitrous cars in Australia but regardless this car
is pretty impressive so I'll let the title stand.
I'm pretty sure this is Australia's quickest Nitrous car, although if I'm wrong someone will
let me know.
With a monster motor and massive gas kit the car runs some seriously quick
times considering it's only on 10.5 rubber. It's still early days for the
black Camaro, owned by
Johnny Wilson and Simon Kryger, who knows how fast they'll get it going?
Summernats 25 - Day Three
Having trouble loading this file up. hopefully this time it works.
Okay guys, I finally got this to load up. All the action from Friday with
unveiling, bands and plenty of cruising. What a huge day!
Summernats 23 - Burnout Masters SOLID C10 pickup
Danny Smith's SOLID has been given a major overhaul and it looks fantastic
now. He's always pulled strong burnouts but this skid was looking truely
awesome before it backfired through the carbs. Not letting that stop him,
he fired the trcuk up again and ran it until the radiator hose exploded.
Awsome wheelstand - Black RX7
Check out the wild wheelstand from this black RX7 at WSID. Awesome!
Therte's two different wheelstands, make sure you watch both.
ULEGAL Supercharged V8 Corolla Dumps It's Guts at UBC3
Mick Brasher doesn't have much mechanical sympathy, in fact i don't think
he knows the meaning of the term. So it's no surprise that his little
Corolla would eventually lunch iteself. It's been pretty reliable so far,
but unfortunately let go at UBC3 on what was looking to be a cracker of a
Twin Turbo LS1-Powered HK Monaro on Dyno
Rodney Ritchie used to run a serious procharger blow-through set-up on his
HG Monaro but he's ripped that out and fitted a 406ci LS1 with twin T04Z turbos. It doesn't run alot of Boost but it sure makes enough power. It won
the Dyno at Winton's
Performance Car Mania with 731rwhp. Rodney now plans to finish things off
with an Intercooler and pump
up the Boost for even more power,
and possibly have a crack at Modified Street Blown in the APSA series.
Project Digger Burnout Testing
Back when the Army's Project Digger was first getting built I was invited
along to film some burnout testing. As you can see the car wasn't finished
but with time getting short before Summernats 23 they wanted to make sure
it was right to go.
Unfortunately, as a direct result of the testing they decided to not do any
burnout at Summernats that year due to cooling issues. But it sure looked
So for those that haven't seen it in action, here you go.
MRBADQ Gets Toasty At Summer Skidfest
We first saw Ross Heasley's MRBADQ at Valvoline Springnats this year and it
was out again for the Summer Skidfest at Heathcote Raceway. Running a 6/71
blown 350 Chev, the HQ Holden Coupe makes around 613hp at the flywheel and
runs on pump gas. That didn't stop it from having a little flame pop moment
on the pad at Heathcote though. Usually it's the methanol cars that spew
the flames out the back. Nice little skid.
SUBTLE Wins Pro Street Blown at the Street Machine Nationals
It may be SUBTLE by name but Jeremy Callaghan's twin turbo Torana is anything but subtle. Even though
it's not the quickest car in the class the Torana swept all before it
during the Chicago Shootout in Pro Street Blown at the Street Machine
Nationals and then defeeated the Perko Torana in the finals. A solid win
from a very cool looking car
UCSMOKE Attempts the Corkscrew
I'm sure there's some cones in there somewhere in amongst that smoke, but
Steven Loader doesn't seem to care. He obliterates the course with his
supercharged Holden Premier before limping off with one blown back tyre.
Wild 9sec Falcon has trouble going around corners
Now don't get me wrong, I love this car. I've been in this car doing insane
speeds down the main straight at Eastern Creek, but it's not the best car
to be fanging around corners.
But it is wickedly quick in a straight line with genuine 9sec time slips.
Not bad for a street driven car.
BEST. POWERSKID. EVER.
I've seen some crazy powerskid action in my time but this Torana takes the
cake. With a big hit of Nitrous and a
heavy right foot this guy smokes the full length of the track in and aesome
display of skill and power.
If you've got a better powerskid then send me a video response.
TNT265 - 400hp+ Hemi six Pacer burnout
In naturally aspirated six cylinder terms this car is a bit of a legend,
winning the horsepower Heroes NA six
cylinder class at Summernats countless times. The very healthy 265 under
the bonnet is built by Russell Richardson at Dominator Race engines, and he
also owns the car, which makes over 330hp at the tyres. That's without Nitrous, turbos or a blower.
It's a very stout six pack indeed, and the car is also a genuine E31 Pacer,
one of the rare Bathurst specials with the 160litre tank in the boot with
the fuel filler on top of the rear guard.
