First Easy Mods to the BRZ!
While I'm saving for an Exhaust I decided to do a few free/cheap mods! First was to customize the start-up screen on the nav unit. I also replaced the interior lights and license plate lights with super white LED bulbs. Thanks to Meng Motorsports for supplying the LEDs, check out their website if you want to buy these bulbs or other parts for your Subaru BRZ/Scion FR-S. mengmotorsports.com "Like" my Facebook page for more updates! http://facebook.com/subaruwrxfan

Backroads Drive in the BRZ at Dusk
Sorry for the wind noise! I'm using the Wifi Backpac on my GoPro and there currently isn't a wind sock for it! I've come up with a solution to eliminate the noise for the next GoPro video. Also, I realize this isn't the most exciting video but I thought you'd still enjoy seeing it. "Like" the Subaruwrxfan Facebook page for more updates! http://facebook.com/subaruwrxfan

2013 Subaru BRZ vs Porsche 911 Carrera S Mile High Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) Most people certainly won't cross shop a 2013 Subaru BRZ and the all new Porsche 911 Carrera S. Yet in many ways the two cars are very similar. They both have a similar type of flat engine, they both seat 2 comfortaby but you can get 4 people into the cars in a pinch, and they are both are classic rear wheel drive sports cars. Of course the Porsche cost 4X the money and has exactly 2X the horsepower of the BRZ and yet it is currently and possibly the most desired car by twenty something year olds. The Porsche is verging on super car status and yet it is possibly the most desired car by forty something year olds. Check it out as we mashup these two cars in this Mile High review to see what makes them so similar to each other.

BRZ stands for "Boxer, Rear-wheel drive, Zenith," or "Boxer Renaissance Zenith." The Toyota 86 is a sports car developed jointly by Japanese automobile manufacturers Toyota and Subaru. It has 2+2 seats, a 2-door coupé body style and a front-engine, rear-wheel drive layout. The model will be sold under three different brands: Toyota (Toyota 86 in Japan and Australia[1] and Toyota GT-86 in Europe), Subaru (Subaru BRZ) and Scion (Scion FR-S). "86" (pronounced "eight-six" or Hachi-Roku (ハチロク)) refers to the Toyota Corolla Levin series AE86 and the Toyota Sprinter Trueno series AE86, a particular series of cars sold between 1983 and 1987 (The Trueno was a hatchback, and the Levin had a trunk ). As such, the Toyota 86 has been named as the spiritual successor of the original AE86 during the press release of the 86. The signifigance of the reference to the series AE86 was that both the Trueno and Levin of this series were the last with rear wheel drive; the following Sprinter Trueno and Corolla Levin series AE92 were released with front wheel drive thereafter. The Toyota and Scion have little distinguishing elements - the latter has cheaper pieces to reduce base price in the United States. The Subaru BRZ differs mainly in its front end, where the grille has an hexagonal shape versus an inverted trapezoid in the Toyota and Scion, along with the placement of the BRZ as the most luxurious variant of the platform, with more standard features and a higher suggested price than the Toyota-marketed versions.[citation needed] In Japan, it will be exclusive to Toyota Japan dealerships called Netz Store locations, which uses the same sales approach used at North American sales channel called Scion. It was first presented as a concept car at the October 2009 Tokyo Motor Show under the name Toyota FT-86, FT being shorthand for "Future Toyota". Later, a high-performance version was launched at the January 2010 Tokyo Auto Salon as the Toyota FT-86 G Sports. At the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, a third concept car was shown, the Toyota FT-86 II. The BRZ and FR-S also had their concept cars, the Subaru BRZ Concept STI and the Scion FR-S Concept. The production version of the 86, BRZ and FR-S were unveiled at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. Initially, the 86 and sister models will feature a Subaru-sourced naturally aspirated 2.0 L flat-4 boxer gasoline engine (Toyota engine code 4U-GSE, Subaru engine code FA20) that will deliver 200 PS (147 kW; 197 hp) that includes a direct injection system from Toyota. The model will be offered with two six-speed transmissions: a manual and an automatic with paddle shifters. The weight of the 86 is 1,180 to 1,250 kilograms (2,600 to 2,760 lb) depending on specification and equipment. 2013 Subaru BRZ top speed run
Follow me on Facebook and Instagram! Facebook.com/JTPhotos / Instagram @speedracer38 At the end of May I got a call from the Subaru dealership telling me my 2013 BRZ Limited had arrived and was ready for me to take delivery. After a grueling 1,000 mile break-in period I was looking forward to see what the car was capable of. I shipped the car to the autobahn to do some high speed runs in the car and attempt the top speed. The car is limited by its aerodynamics unfortunately so I had to get a good stretch which favored the car which allowed me to get up to 147 MPH. This isn't very high speed compared to other exotic cars but for a 200HP Subaru I was very impressed seeing what it's capable of on the top speed spectrum! For those of you who don't know this is a rear wheel drive Subaru and the car is fantastic to drive along with drifting ;) Please leave a comment and subscribe. Enjoy!

The 450 HP Crawford Performance Turbo BRZ - /TUNED
We love the FRS and BRZ twins; they offer an approachable limit of performance and phenomenal dynamics in an affordable package. And we learned earlier this season that a bolt-on turbo kit will add to the FRS's performance without taking away from it's character. But what happens when you double the BRZ's horsepower and triple it's torque? We find out.

Scion FR-S Test Drive & Driving Impressions
Experience the new Scion FR-S from the driver's seat. I took a test drive the other day and filmed my impressions so my girlfriend could get a feel for the car. She just got her wisdom teeth taken out and wasn't in any shape to go on a test drive so I came to her rescue and made this video of the experience. Shameless plug: If you're local, around SE Michigan, be sure to ask for Jamar Daniels at Victory Toyota of Canton, MI for information & availability on the Scion FR-S. Had a great experience with him, he was very helpful and generous with his time. Initial impressions: 1. It has four wheels, which seemed very round when I inspected them. 2. Doors with which to enter and leave the car (you don't have to enter through the windows or the top or bottom of the vehicle) 3. While driving the car, there is a round knob (though not as round as the wheels) that controls the wind inside the car. The wind can be a mild breeze, or a vicious tsunami blowing from little holes in the front console. It can be cool or warm, and you can direct the wind. It makes you feel very powerful. 4. There is also another button that lets you listen to people talking and singing in the car, I believe Jamar called this a radio. This device only allows for listening, and is therefore a one-way conversation. I tried talking back to the people in the "radio" and they either couldn't hear me or didn't feel like responding. I imagine they have a lot of people trying to talk to them through the "radio." If you don't have a lot of friends and want someone who never stops talking, this radio device is probably a good thing for you to order. 5. The cloth seats have a red stripe on them. I assume that this is probably from the animal's skin that was used to make them. The red stripe tells me that the animal was fierce and vicious, trying to warn its predators of it's danger with a warning color, much like bees and the yellow jackets they wear. However, it mustn't have been a match for the Scion hunters, as I hear many FR-S's are filled with seats made from this red-striped animal. In short, the FR-S makes me feel like an ancient hunting warrior that can control wind, talk to spirits, and chase down fast dangerous animals. Enjoy the video, I hope you find it helpful in your quest of filling the empty void in your heart with a lightweight rear wheel drive sports coupe.

Think Twice Before Passing The Police
This occurred on I-295 N in West Deptford/Westville area around mile post 24. The New Jersey State Trooper was going 60 mph. The posted speed limit at the time was 50 mph due to it being a work zone even though the work was finished the signs were still posted.
