2001 GMC Sonoma 2.2L Engine Replacement (Part 1) -EricTheCarGuy
Link to full version of the video: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/vmanuals/22-vmanual-store/236-2001-gmc-sonoma- 2-2l-engine-replacement-video-full-version As some of you know this job had a personal connection for me. My friend Ryan Coffey, who was the former owner of the truck, lost his life to cancer last year. His parents brought me the truck and a new engine so that I could make it run again. I was honored to do the job, and make this video series for you. I present this series as a tribute to Ryan and his family. I know you guys like watching my engine replacement videos, and I'm glad to know that this series will get some views and get Ryan's name out there. Ryan loved my show and having his truck featured in my videos, it's been in 3 before this series came out. I think this is a great way to honor him and his memory. Here's some some links to those videos as well as other stuff you might find useful. Seafoaming a 1999 2.2L GMC Sonoma
My best friend's 98 S10 finally gave up on life, and a new legacy has finally been born. His new 99 Sonoma has 100k more miles on it, runs better, and is an extended cab! It also has 4.10 gears and the 2.2 4 cylinder. It's never been touched by the healing powers of Seafoam, so we thought we'd give it a go. And yes, you hear the tires squawking from first to second.

2001 GMC Sonoma Manual Transmission Fluid Replacement -EricTheCarGuy
I have one final video for you for the Sonoma, the manual transmission fluid replacement. I couldn't let this thing roll out without some fresh transmission fluid to go with the new engine. You have to be careful because sometimes the other parts get jealous and you don't want a transmission getting jealous of it's new engine. GM Syncromesh is the way to go with this in my opinion. It's great stuff and works well in other vehicles as well. So please enjoy this video about changing transmission fluid on a 2001 GMC Sonoma. Here's some useful links for you. 2001 GMC Sonoma 2.2L Engine Replacement (Part 2) -EricTheCarGuy
Link to full version of the video: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/vmanuals/22-vmanual-store/236-2001-gmc-sonoma- 2-2l-engine-replacement-video-full-version Here's part 2 of the Sonoma Engine replacement series. In this video we finish removing the engine from the chassis. There were a few snags but we overcame them and in the end we remove the engine. The Exhaust was a real pain that took a lot longer than what was shown in the video. If I were to do it again I would have taken both engine mounts off to help gain access to the bell housing bolts. I talk about that more later in the series. In the end, the engine comes out. Ryan would be happy I'm sure. 2002 GMC Sonoma Crewcab 4x4 Test - 4x4TV Test Videos
2002 GMC Sonoma Crewcab 4x4 Test - 4x4TV Test Videos SEE ALL OUR OVER 150 OTHER VIDEOS @ http://www.4x4TV.TV Welcome to 4x4TV SEE ALL OUR OTHER VIDEOS @ http://www.4x4TV.TV CONTACT ME with questions at DougMeyer@4x4TV.TV http://www.4x4TV.TV first aired in 2001 with coverage of the beginning events in the Extreme Rock Crawling Championships. We still have lots of that classic footage that we will be putting up just to bring a tear to your eyes for the good old days. http://www.4x4TV.TV tested many factory four wheel drive vehicles during our early days and you can see the tests we did all categorized on our website. http://www.4x4TV.TV projected several amazing vehicles including Elsie, our beloved FJ60 that was my family cruiser and remains in the shop to this day - and until the day they plant me in the ground. We also restored and period projected a very nice FJ40 that ended up in the hands of a friend, "Bottle-a-day Dave." Anyone ever run across Dave Yarington (a rabid cruiser enthusiast - okay 'nut') please have him contact me. We also projected a great old Cherokee named Scofield (named after my friend who bought it new and explored many backroads in it). That Cherokee also still remains in my family, now driven by my son-in-law and most likely soon to be my Grandson's daily driver. Proof that good machines never die. http://www.4x4TV.TV also went on some incredible adventures, certainly our favorite thing to do. We traveled a lot of cool trails around southern California as well as the infamous (in the ATV world!) Piute Trail area and of course Moab. What we love most are the scenic trails! You can find them all listed on our website as well. http://www.4x4TV.TV had a few trail tips (which I hope to do more of), abad product reviews on both items for your rig as well as to make your trail experience better. Hope to see you out on the trail.

GMC Sonoma Test Drive
Lets try this little truck out!

1996 GMC Sonoma Slammed Mini Truck
This is a video of my truck that I sold back in 1999. It was a GMC Sonoma 1996. I had it lowered 5 inches in the front and 7 in the rear. It was sitting on 17 inch TSW Kalahari Rims. I had it custom ordered from the factory with a locking rear differential and the enhanced vortec v6. I ordered it with factory bucket seats and a manual transmission. I factory paint matched the tail gate handle and the door handles. I put on custom painted tail light covers as well. It was a wonderful truck and I regret selling it.
