Driving Blown 454 32 Ford Coupe Hotrod
Driving home from a cruise in. 1932 Ford 3 Window Fiberglass Coupe. Bored .030 454 Chevy. Yeah I know, a Chevy in a Ford just ain't right but I love big block Chevies but also love the look of an old Ford. It has a Ford 9" with spool which I want to switch out to a posi unit this winter, 4 wheel disc brakes, rack & pinon steering, 4 bar with coil over suspension, Edelbrock carbs, GMC 671 blower with Weiand drive and a turbo 400 trans. It's always driven and never trailered. It even has a trailer hitch on the back. Lots of road chips and nicks but it was bought to be enjoyed and driven, it even has air conditioning and a CD player for added creature comforts. Was a lifelong dream to own one just like the models I used to build when I was a wee lad but never in my wildest dreams ever thought I'd actually own one. At 57 I still can't help but have a big grin while cruising down the road, especially when pulling up beside some young fella in one of the newer imports at a redlight. Can almost hear them thinking when seeing all motor setting beside them... Holy Sh%$ ....... They can sure get gobs of HP and great 1/4 mile times from new technology but it's hard to beat ground pounding old school horsepower that rattles the windows when idling thru town.

1989 Pontiac Turbo Trans Am Indy Pace Car - WR TV POV Test Drive
Today we're bringing you this spectacular 1989 Pontiac Firebird turbo Trans-Am 20th Anniversary Indy 500 Pace Car. Pontiac only made this model in 1989 specifically to pace the 73rd Indy 500. Total production numbered 1,555 units. GM kept 5 of them and sold 1,550 to the public. This is #1,221 of the 1,555 ever made. This example is highly original with only the battery and tires being replaced. Under the hood is the original hi-po 231ci turbocharged V6 engine from the Buick GNX complete with an the original Intercooler, turbo, and electronic fuel injection. It is mated to the original turbo-Hydramatic 200-4R four-speed automatic transmission. The car also features the WS6 performance suspension consisting of independent front suspension with MacPherson struts, coil springs and anti-roll bar, live rear axle with trailing links and torque arm, four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes from the 1LE, and 16"x8" Aluminum wheels. As equipped, the new Trans-Am redefined the term "high performance" with 13-second quarter-mile times and top speeds exceeding 150 mph. It was the first unmodified car to pace the Indianapolis 500. Originally priced at $9,000 over the cost of the 5.7-liter GTA and with just 1,554 other examples produced, this 20th Anniversary Indy Pace-Car Trans-Am remains one of the rarest and desirable Pontiac's ever assembled. This car is currently for sale, see the craigslist ad here: http://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/cto/5098468021.html Visit us at http://www.windingroad.com and http://www.windingroadracing.com Wear headphones!
