*We are not professional drivers, the iPhone Dyno App may or may not be a completely reliable source, some of the cars in our tests do not have completely stock engines. Knowing these three variables, our 0-60 times may not be the actual times of the car.*

How Far Can You Drive On One Tank of Diesel? - Chevy Cruze 2.0TD vs. VW Jetta TDI
We set out to verify these cars' lofty highway-fuel-economy ratings—42
mpg for the Jetta, 46 for the Cruze—by driving from our Ann Arbor
headquarters to the world's largest truck stop in Walcott, Iowa. After that
409-mile drive, the Jetta was still 200 miles from empty and the Cruze more

2000 VW Jetta: Timing Belt Popped & Bent Valves... Got Hope???
Timing belt popped in the middle of the highway at 121,000 miles. We had a
new timing belt, serpentine belt, and water pump put in, before we learned

depend on precision timing. When the timing belt breaks some valves may
open into the combustion chamber at the wrong time, and they get crushed by
the upward thrusting piston). See
We'd either have to redo the head, valves, and pistons, or replace the
whole motor... or just get a new car. The fix could easily cost another
$1000 - $2000, in addition to what we just paid, without any guarantees.

I must saw that the interior in this cars has so many places that are soft
to the touch and well padded. There are some pieces that are creaky with
hard Cheap surfaces. The 2011 Model has a much cleaner layout & everything
is tightly put, but many qualities of this 02's interior does excel over
But this generation Jetta was known for being quite unreliable tho.
