1977 Chrysler Town and Country Stationwagon
Just one of the many unique/not too often seen vehicles coming into my life as of late: It is enjoyable getting to drive or have rides in the cars that were more or less mainstream back in the day. This one is a true time capsule, just about everything original except the tires and the muffler. The car is originally from British Columbia, owned by a fellow who owned a large yacht, The carpet in the cargo area is damaged, we figure by an acid spill from a marine battery of some sort. The car drives solidly and rattle free, as it very well should being it is still a 'new' car. All the more to the fact quality control and other things were not going too well for Chrysler Corporation (and the rest of the industry for that fact) back in the day. Many factors were changing, the government was really coming down on the car makers.

1957 Buick Caballero Estate Wagon
Amazing car! The four door hardtop was so well received at General Motors that a stationwagon based on it seemed to be a natural evolution! This one is a gorgeous example. I love the red/white combination...the exterior is mirrored by the color choices on the inside. This one has air conditioning, handy in a car this size....and that big load floor in the back should be able to handle most domestic hauling duties.

1969 Imperial 'Emily' A car division from the Chrysler Corporation
The flagship line of the Chrysler Corporation, the Imperial line was a very ruggedly built, over-engineered in the opinions of some, vehicle offering. This example, with the LeBaron trim option, is a remarkable survivor. Originally from Lousiana (hmm, another car featured on this channel from there!), the offering has only 32,000 miles. Emily, as the car is nicknamed, was sitting in a closed garage for over 20 years. Please see some clips done last autumn of us resurrecting the car in the way of a gummed up carburetor rebuild, and a new master cylinder. The fuel tank was replaced as well, it looked like the wreckage of the Titanic inside as it was described later on. With an oil change, and check/change of the other vital fluids, this car now graces the road once again. Being such low mileage, the car is very tight, and almost squeak free. Just one item on the passenger door has a slight squeak, that is it. The head rests were missing, proper ones have been located and will be fitted on. A factory AM-FM radio with 'Wonderbar' has been located as well. The A/C still has a full charge of R12! Tilt/telescopic steering, cruise control, Sure-Grip Limited Slip, power this, power that round out a laundry list of options on this car. What a ride, I will get my chance to drive this car some day soon, I just wanted to stretch out in it, literally. My feet barely touched the toe board the car is so big inside. And of course it is so wide too! Thank you Bill for the wonderful day spent with Emily!
