All wagons from 71-76 rode on the C-body chassis (127 inch) wheelbase...
(Chevrolet Belair-Townsman, Impala-Kingswood, Caprice-Kingwood Estate), the
Pontiac Safari (Catalina, Bonneville, and Grand Ville wagons were all
Safari's) - (Grand Ville was called Grand Safari), Olds Custom Cruiser
(with 88 and 98 interiors), and Buick Estate (LeSabre and Electra series
interiors). In 1977 the wagons moved to the B-body chassis and rode on
the 116" wheelbase until 1996 when they were discontinued

1970 Buick Estate Wagon - Loaded - Special Ordered when new - SOLD!
Remember when you used to load the kids in your 3-seated station wagon and
head for an amusement park or for a camp out with all your stuff on top of
the car? Or, in my case as an only child, the family of 3 slept in the car
instead of a motel on vacations. Well, those days are gone, but a few of
the great cars like this one still exist and now instead of kids you have
time and you have grandkids.
This 1970 Buick Estate Wagon is loaded, seats 9 and is ready to go anywhere
you want to take the grandkids. It has plenty of power with the 455-4
motor to get you where you want to go. Features include power windows,
power door locks, power bench seat, power disk brakes, tilt, air
conditioning, AM/FM AND an 8 track tape player!
The vast array of receipts will go with the car when it is sold. This
wagon was originally special ordered by and for the very first Buick dealer
in Oregon and bore the Dealer 1 tag. It has nearly option that could be
purchased at the time, sits on a full convertible box, has truck rear
axles, a limited slip rear end and is a good highway hauler. This car was
used for deliveries and hauled merchandise back and forth from Portland to
Los Angeles. It has had many upgrades over the years as well as in recent
years and as you can see, the interior is outstanding.
Vehicle information above is deemed reliable but not guaranteed. All
vehicles are offered subject to an inspection and an appraisal if desired.
Financing is available through JJ Best Banc. Delivery arrangements are

Buick - History Documentary (1995)
This video is a wonderfully-done documentary, written and produced by
Michael Rose, on the history of Buick as presented in 1995 from the History
Channel's archive. Here is Michael's description of the video verbatim:
"No one would have believed that the tinkering of a plumber would turn into
the foundation of the world's largest corporation. But it did. David Dunbar
Buick invented a process to adhere porcelain to tubs and other bathroom
fixtures. But the Scottish immigrant dreamed of making a mark out of the
bathroom, and set to work building a car. By 1900, he enlisted the aid of
another inventor, Walter Marr, and they built their first vehicle. Their
invention attracted the attention of one of Michigan's wealthiest men,
William Crapo Durant, the president of the world's largest buggy-building
business. As soon as he drove one of Buick's early creations, Durant
realized that the days of the horse and buggy were over. He teamed up with
Buick, and the two went on to make history. By the thirties, Buicks were
regarded as some of the finest cars ever made. From the first Buicks
through the birth of General Motors and into history, this is the
compelling story of the partnership that eventually became the basis for
the largest company in the world."

CAR FOR SALE ON EBAY
1969 Imperial 'Emily' A car division from the Chrysler Corporation
The flagship line of the Chrysler Corporation, the Imperial line was a very
ruggedly built, over-engineered in the opinions of some, vehicle offering.
This example, with the LeBaron trim option, is a remarkable survivor.
Originally from Lousiana (hmm, another car featured on this channel from
there!), the offering has only 32,000 miles. Emily, as the car is
nicknamed, was sitting in a closed garage for over 20 years. Please see
some clips done last autumn of us resurrecting the car in the way of a
gummed up carburetor rebuild, and a new master cylinder. The fuel tank was
replaced as well, it looked like the wreckage of the Titanic inside as it
was described later on. With an oil change, and check/change of the other
vital fluids, this car now graces the road once again. Being such low
mileage, the car is very tight, and almost squeak free. Just one item on
the passenger door has a slight squeak, that is it. The head rests were
missing, proper ones have been located and will be fitted on. A factory
AM-FM radio with 'Wonderbar' has been located as well. The A/C still has a
full charge of R12! Tilt/telescopic steering, cruise control, Sure-Grip
Limited Slip, power this, power that round out a laundry list of options on
this car. What a ride, I will get my chance to drive this car some day
soon, I just wanted to stretch out in it, literally. My feet barely
touched the toe board the car is so big inside. And of course it is so
wide too! Thank you Bill for the wonderful day spent with Emily!
