ProCharger Blow Off Valve Comparison
I upgraded the blow off valve or bypass valve on my P-1 SC-1 Supercharged
2011 3.7L V6 Mustang. I put
a go pro camera and a flashlight under the hood and made a couple of short
pulls under Boost to see and hear
the differences between the proflo valve and the bullet valve. I also have
outside the car BOV sound comparisons.
The video does not give a good comparison because they are right next to
the blow off valve. So the volume seems about the same. You can hear the
sound change tone with the bullet valve but in reality it is twice as loud
and can be heard very well in the cabin.
Also I think it will have a better seal to hold Boost pressure better. Overall I am very happy
with the upgrade. To see more pics and to check how to test the valves then

Exhaust note is full system by
Bassani. The fan moving was interesting. It was from pure speed of air
passing through the radiator at a fair amount of speed. The outside temp
was mid 80's.

Procharger Turbo XS bypass valve odd ringing sound
1999 5.4L F-150 w/ Procharger @ 12 psi. Changed out the stock ATI Pro Flo
bypass valve for a turbo XS 34mm racing
bypass valve only to experience a strange high pitched ringing sound at
1100-2000 RPM's. Most noticeable on hard deceleration. Noise goes away
when I add 2-3 washers to the bypass valve, but the truck runs "rougher"
and bucks in overdrive on decel. I either get the ringing noise and the
truck runs ok, or I eliminate the ringing noise and the truck runs
rough....no happy medium. Any idea what could be causing the sound???
