Junkyard Cars Chrysler Imperial Hot Spot
Here is a junkyard I found in Fresno, California. There was about 5 acres
of nothing but Chrysler Imperial's. I also ran across an old Jeepster, and
29 Chevy truck, some old hit and miss motors, and an Guiberson 9 cylinder
radial diesel tank engine. There was a lot more to look at but I did not
have time to see everything.
Cold Start the 1972 Chrysler Newport: What's Your Carbon Footprint?
Hi! Time to put the 1972 Chrysler Newport Royal 4 door hardtop into storage
before it gets completely buried. First we gotta get it started. These
babies will leave a big black soot mark wherever you start them, until the
choke heats up and pulls off. I love this car, it drives really well, and
it has been very reliable on long highway trips. I bought this car 10 years
ago to save it from the derby and replaced the front subframe due to rust.
A well maintained car, only two previous owners, mostly original in & out.
Thanks for checking it out.

1955 Chrysler New Yorker Deluxe Newport
Newport was Chrysler's Hardtop line until it became a stand alone model in
1964, I believe. "Newport" is on the base of the rear pillar. Very rare car
to have Imperial interior. '55 was last year for the 331 but apparently the
blocks can be insanely overbored by modern standards. 354s and 331s I
thought Carl said were the same blocks except for the overbore of the 354.
High nickel-content steel made the motors nearly indestructable, hence
their expense and eventual demise by the bean counters. (Carl's)

FOR SALE : 1973 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham cold start
FOR SALE 2014, recorded August 2010, still looks just the same. Rust free
1973 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham. $8,995.oo.
I didn't have time to say that Mr & Mrs Poetz, the original owners of the
car, first owned a 1936 Plymouth, then a 1950 Plymouth, a 1959 DeSoto, and
finally the 1973 Chrysler. They worked their way up the Chrysler
Corporation ladder of makes and models, just as Walter Percy Chrysler had
Lastly, given that I despise religion, I couldn't care less if you dislike
my audio comment about churchgoing being a waste of time. Imaginary
friends are a waste of time - enough said.
1947 Chrysler New Yorker Club Coupe
Here's a really neat 1947 Chrysler New Yorker Club Coupe! It's powered by a
323ci Straight 8 engine and a Fluid Drive semi-automatic transmission! The
transmission has reverse, low, and high speeds. A clutch is used to shift
between the gears. Both low and high have 2 gears as well, and those will
shift automatically. It's very ahead of it's time! It also has original
paint, chrome, and interior! There's only 99,000 miles on the car and it's
a 66 year old survivor! It comes with many books, a binder of ads and
brochures, and a maintenance record as well. It has all working gauges,
wipers, turn signals, heater, and lights! It has all the correct filter
housings under the hood complete with Mopar stickers! It was meticulously
maintained and daily driven. It still has a 6 volt system, original
Chrysler hubcaps, Dunlop wide white tires, a Mopar compass, and a Fulton
traffic light finder! It's extremely straight and solid, has super cool
body lines, and runs VERY quiet!
