300 - This is Sparta!
This video captured my two attempts at drifting my s2000 through an on ramp. I challenged myself to see if I could drift a full on ramp.
Visualizing and trying it out little by little when ever I was on the ramp. Making sure that I am not over confident, I worked with mini drifts on the ramp here and there during the rainy days until I got a good feel for it. Practicing and seeing it in my head and playing the scene through my mind to build the muscle-memory in my arms so I get a feel for how I need to counter-steer when I'm really drifting for the whole corner.
Why I did it?
I've spend a lot of seat time in my s2000, and as a result I was confident that I would be all right and was willing to take responsibility for a damaged s2000 should I damage it from a mistake. I choose to do it where no cars would be near me while I'm sideways. So I choose to do this out of the sake of learning. I have confidence in my abilities to bail out when necessary and put the car safely to rest. There aren't many places to drift or that allow it, so I choose the on ramp, because I can't find places where I can get the same drifts around here. So the on ramp was a risk on my own part, but not to anyone around me because I made sure no one was around me. It's an on ramp, so there's not much going on besides driving through a one-way curve to merge.
The stage was set; this was my big leap to test myself. I'm still a student at drifting in real life, as I am still learning how to translate what I'm capable of in Gran Turismo drifting into real life drifting.
I have decided to mix this video accordingly to deliver my feeling in the video. Background music, quotes, and movie referenced quotes are used to deliver the same energy and vindication feeling I had during and after this recording.
I thank you for your comments and ratings.
Driven 3rd gear and it's in MPH.

S2000 vs FRS (GT86 BRZ) Track Review | Part 2 of 2 | S02E08
SEE PART 1 FIRST: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IwPW0iWYTNk
Welcome back to part two of the S2000 vs. 86 Track Review. Since we
already have tested the stock BRZ and FRS on the track we know that it
cannot compete in terms of performance with the S2000. But let's pretend
for a minute if Toyota and Subaru released a higher performance trim level
like a TRD or STI model with the same wheel horsepower as the S2000 how
would they compete? That is what we attempt to simulate here.

Snow Drifting Movie - Honda S2000
Snow came down pretty heavy in February 2008 so it was good time to get
some more footage.
The other videos I did in the snow showed in car views. It's been hard to
find a cameraman / friend that would come out in the cold with me to help
me film outside footage. Too many back out when requested so I figured if
I'm going to get this to happen, best to do this myself. I set up a tripod
and found a parking lot that had a nice layout to form an obstacle / drift
course to follow. The footages were taken from two consecutives snow days.
I've learn that sometimes to get something done, you can't wait on others.
I've mentioned to friends that I don't have anyone filming for me. I would
like someone to help me out sometimes. Although this is only wishful
thinking, I keep a back up plan. I prepare on my own because I can't put
all my eggs in that basket so I got the equipment that I needed to do this
video on my own. Got a tripod and video mount in the car and went out in
the cold to film this.
