Audi RS7 - One Take
Matt heads to the Nevada desert, one of the few places in the world with enough room to safely test the sheer speed of Audi's new, 560-horsepower RS7. *Note, I know this isn't the greatest video we've ever made. But usually on press launches they provide me with about 20 times as much footage as they provided on this trip. Better some video than no video*
Audi R8 V10 Plus: Better than a Porsche or Ferrari?
Matt had to go to Sweden to drive Volvos, so he sent Smoking Tire Editor Zack Klapman to test out the new Audi R8 V10 Plus. The R8 has more power, a better transmission, it's lighter, and Audi provided a very twisty road for evaluation. We take it out to find out what you want in a supercar, and if the Audi delivers on more levels than you'd expect. Buy TST T-shirts at https://wwwsquareup.com/market/the-smoking-tire !! It's Zack's first review, so there should be lots of ammo for the friendly commenters.
The Cobra-Blown, Lexus V8 Swapped "No Style" '75 Corolla
Mark Still is a man of limited sports car experience, but is long on fabrication skill. So when he decided he wanted to build a hillclimbing monster, he started with what he was into: old Corollas. Now, his 1975 Coupe has the V8 and subframe from a Lexus SC400, an Eaton M112 Supercharger from a Mustang Cobra, a T56 6-speed gearbox, and everything else is completely custom. We love it.
Audi RS5 Cabriolet - The Battleship That Screams
The Smoking Tire takes Audi's fastest four-seat convertible for a run through the hills. Though it loses rigidity and gains weight compared to its coupe sibling, could it still be worthy of Audi's RS moniker? Check out our review of the RS5 Coupe Here! http://youtu.be/j14iS2U9zL8
