2011 Chevrolet Cruze Eco 6MT Review, Walkaround, Start Up & Rev
A decent looking special fuel economy version of the Cruze with class
leading efficiency numbers... too bad that only applies to the manual
transmission models which aren't as popular with consumers vs the automatic
and the interior is a bit of a let down.
"After decades of toiling in the minor leagues, Chevrolet makes it to the
show with its much-improved compact sedan entry, the 2011 Cruze."

Hyundai Sonata Hybrid vs Chevy Cruze Eco Challenge Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) What's the most fun hybrid or eco car to drive?
It certainly isn't the Toyota Prius, but it could very well be the 2011
Hyundai Sonata Hybrid or the 2011 Chevy Cruze Eco with the manual
transmission. Both cars get 40 or more MPG on the highway and both cars are
fun to drive...at least as fun as high mileage cars can be. So which one is
the better car. Check out this first drive review.
2013 Chevrolet Cruze LT Review, Walkaround, Exhaust, & Test Drive
GM started an upward trend in the compact class when the Cruze replaced the
lackluster Cobalt in 2011. With clean styling, a spacious cabin, a peppy turbo engine, and competitive
fuel-efficiency the Chevrolet Cruze looked to erase any bad memories left
by its predecessors. With renewed competition from Mazda, Honda, and
Toyota, it may be time for a refresh soon.

Sorry for the low video quality but I had to use my iPod NAno as the
BAttery to my HD camera was dead :(
This Cruze has the 1.4L turbo 4 Cyl
which produces 138 HP through a 6 speed auto.
It's a much better Car than it's predecessor which was the Cobalt. Tho
it's not at the top in it's class & theres many areas in the interior which
can still use improvement. Offering other body styles such as a Hatch
version ( Which is Available in Europe ) ought to be offered here & it
Chevrolet Cruze review from Consumer Reports
The nicely-finished Chevy Cruze feels solid and substantial and is pleasant
to drive. But it delivers lackluster fuel economy and the backseat is
tight. Find more car reviews on our website:
Cruze Diesel Fuel Economy Report - 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel Test Drive & Car Video Review
Will the champ be defeated? The 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel is finally
here. Now America is discovering what Europeans have known for a long time;
diesel powered cars get wonderful fuel economy. The Volkswagen Jetta TDI
has been the reigning champ for over a decade when it comes to fuel
efficient diesel powered cars. Now though, the Cruze Diesel is on the scene
with more MPG on the highway, more torque, and a lower price tag. The 2014
Chevy Cruze Diesel has a base price of $24,885. Only time will tell if the
Cruze can displace the Jetta TDI, let's see how this newcomer stacks up.
Check out more on the Cruze Diesel at Autobytel
It's been quite awhile since and American Car Company offered a diesel
powered sedan. So is the 2014 Chevy Cruze turbo Diesel worth the wait? You better believe
it! GM has finally brought to market a worthy competitor to the Volkswagen
Jetta TDI. Let's first compare the Cruze Diesel to its Cruze Eco bother
which also gets excellent fuel economy figures. The Cruze tops the Eco
model in a couple of different ways. The thrifty Cruze Eco is powered by a
1.4 liter turbocharged engine running
regular gas. Power output is 136 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of
torque. But the Cruze Diesel also has turbo power but gets a larger 2.0 liter engine.
Thus power is higher at 151 horsepower and get this; 264
lb-ft of torque. The Diesel also trumps in the fuel economy department with
a rating of 27 MPG in the city and 46 MPG on the highway.
Does it sound different? Of course it's a diesel. Some people like the
sound, others hate it, and still others are not bothered at all. The more
conservative you drive the Cruze Diesel the better fuel economy figures you
can expect. That's the beauty of diesel engines; you get more miles to the
gallon and tons of torque which gets you moving. Off the line the car is a
little sluggish; the turbo has to spool
up. Once you are on a roll though, the torque kicks in pretty early and
plenty of power is on tap. The car could benefit from a Manual Gearbox or a
Dual-Clutch Automatic Transmission.
Price wise the 2014 Cruze Diesel does cost about $5k more than the Eco
model: $24885 vs. $19,835. But that increased price not only includes the
price of diesel technology, but some great features and options. The
leather interior gives the Cruze a more upscale feel and the front seats
are heated. The Chevy MyLink infotainment Center is standard with all the
Bluetooth and digital audio goodies including Pandora and Stitcher
integration. The rest of the interior is very good too with a fair amount
of room and conveniences like well placed cup holders and power outlets.
Out back the spare tire has been replaced with a diesel fluid emissions
tank. Don't worry though because a tire refill pump is included. The trunk
does have 13.3 cubic feet of space and the rear seat features a 60/40 fold
The 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Diesel does benefit from active grill shutters up
front and an aero kit and wing out back. But it's the under car belly pans
that help air flow and reduce the cars drag coefficient. The Cruze Diesel
is made for highway cruising with a nice sized gas tank at 15.6 gallons
that allows for an enormous driving range of over 700 miles.
