Hyundai Motor Co. staged the world-premiere of its all-new Hyundai Verna at the 2010 Beijing Automotive Exhibition today. With its eye-catching sloping roofline, the new sub-compact, Hyundai's third China-exclusive model, projects a coupe-like dynamic image that is at once sporty, stately and futuristic.
Developed over a five-year period expressively for the Chinese market, product planners conducted Exhaustive market research of Chinese consumer tastes and trends to ensure every detail meets local requirements. Built on an all-new platform at the company's highly automated plant in Beijing, Hyundai Verna is targeted at China's strategically important C1 segment and fully reflects Hyundai's philosophy of quality.
"Today is a really special day for us, not only because we're launching a new car, but because it's one of the very few times we've done a world-premiere outside of Korea: And we chose to do it right here in China because it's our way of recognizing how important our Chinese customers are to us," Euisun Chung, Vice Chairman of Hyundai Motor said at the 2010 Beijing auto show. "In 2009 we posted a 94 percent Y-o-Y growth in China and have sold over 2 million cars since arriving in 2002. We are not losing any momentum, continuing to expand our lineup in China with our most stylish and advanced models like the all-new Verna and our compact SUV - ix35."

Hyundai hizo en el Salón Internacional del Automóvil de Beijing, el estreno oficial del Accent 2011 (Verna en China); modelo de clara inspiración en la carrocería del nuevo Sonata
Crece en tamaño: 4.340 mm de longitud total, 1.700 mm de ancho, 1.460 mm de alto y la distancia entre ejes llega a los 2.570 mm.
Dos versiones de motor en gasolina; un 1.4 cc con una potencia de 106 caballos y 135.4 Nm a 5.000 rpm y dos tipos de caja de cambios: manual de cinco velocidades o transmisión automática de cuatro velocidades.
La siguiente opción de motorización en gasolina, es un 1.6 cc de 121 caballos de potencia y 155 Nm de par motor, con transmisión automática de cuatro velocidades.
El nuevo Hyundai Accent se construirá en la planta de Hyundai en Beijing y saldrá a la venta para el mercado chino a finales de este año. Para el resto de los países y bajo origen coreano estará disponible a inicios de 2011.

Now even more powerful, lighter and faster: Audi presents the Audi R8 GT - a limited-production version of the Audi R8 high-performance sports car. The output of its 5.2-liter V10 has been increased to 412 kW (560 hp); vehicle weight has been reduced by roughly 100 kilograms (220.46 lb). The Audi R8 GT accelerates from zero to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 3.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 320 km/h (198.84 mph).
The R8 high-performance sports car has been a winner from the very beginning. This applies to both the production models, winners of the "World Performance Car" Award in 2008 (R8) and in 2010 (R8 V10), and to the race car, the R8 LMS, which won 23 races in its first season and claimed three championships. The genes of the race version are now coming to the street - in the Audi R8 GT. The exclusive series is limited to 333 units. Each Audi R8 GT has a badge with its production number on the shift lever knob.
Consistent use of lightweight construction: 100 kilograms (220.46 lb) trimmed
The production Audi R8 V10 5.2 FSI quattro is already a shining example of the Audi's lightweight construction philosophy. Its aluminum Audi Space Frame (ASF) body weighs only 210 kilograms (462.97 lb). The aluminum body panels are joined to the frame of extruded profiles and cast nodes by means of positive and friction connections. The engine frame is made of ultra lightweight magnesium.
Hamann BMW Z4 Roadster Tuning Conceptcar
Just in time for the start of the cabrio season, Hamann Motorsport is introducing a comprehensive programme for accessories and modification of the current BMW Z4 Roadster, known internally as the E89. The broad palette of customisation options for the roadster with the fold-away hardtop includes exciting bodywork styling, striking rim designs and powerful performance improvements.
The Hamann aerodynamics programme is characterised by top-quality workmanship on body components with impressive design and optimised airflow over the vehicle silhouette: The specialists have replaced the series production front spoiler on the front axle with an in-house development that features two integrated LED day lamps. Striking side skirts between the front and the rear impress with a convincing design concept, and lend the Z4 an even lower and longer appearance. The lift force on the rear axle is reduced by a Hamann technical development that sees a shapely spoiler mounted on the tailgate. A new rear apron completes an impressive overall appearance and makes space for the four tailpipes responsible for the throaty sound of the Hamann sports Exhaust system.
The Hamann engine specialists have developed a powerful performance improvement for the BMW Z4 sDrive35i engine, which also lifts the 250 km/h limitation. The optimisation of the series production control device has resulted in performance figures of 360 hp / 265 kW at 5230 rpm (standard is 306 hp / 225 kW at 2500 rpm). The maximum torque simultaneously increases to an impressive 540 Nm, which is available in the engine speed range of 1300 to 5000 rpm (standard is 400 Nm at 1300 - 5000). This modification results in a top speed of 285 km/h.
One of the technical highlights in the comprehensive range of wheels is the three-part Hamann light alloy wheel known as the Edition Race "Matt Black". The 20" forged wheel combines sportiness with elegance. The matt black, polished spoked rims and the titanium screw joints accentuate the wheel dynamics, while the highly polished rim flange makes for a sophisticated impression. Hamann is offering the wheel/tyre combination of 8,5Jx20 inch including 235/30ZR20 front tyres with 10,0Jx20 rims plus 295/25ZR20 back tyres from 7,640 Euro. Extra focus is on the new aluminium wheels with special chassis springs that allow the centre of mass on both the front and back axles of the Z4 Roadster to be lowered by 30 millimetres. Handling of the sports car is simultaneously enhanced.
For the interior, Hamann Motorsport has come up with subtle internal applications. The aluminium gear knob and the set of foot mats with the silver stitched Hamann logo provide a sporty look. On request, hand-made complete leather fittings in line with the exclusive demands of every BMW Z4 Roadster driver can also be supplied.
Hyundai Accent RB low cost accent for Russian
Hyundai unveiled a new car at the 2010 Moscow International Motor Show today called the Hyundai Concept RB. It's size puts it in the sub-compact B segment, which means it's about the same size as the Hyundai Accent.
Of course you must remember that the new generation Accent has already been launched, so this is likely a low cost version. I think it really says something when Hyundai starts making low cost versions of their cars, when just not too long ago all of their cars were considered "low cost" by a lot of people. This is just a random guess but RB could possibly stand for Russia B-Segment!
The car is targeted at the Russian market (and likely other similar economies) and will begin production in January 2011 at Hyundai's Saint Petersburg plant in Russia. Two engines are available -- either a 1.4 liter Gamma CVVT with 107 PS and 135Nm or a 1.6 liter Gamma CVVT engine producing 124 PS and 156Nm. Both engines will be mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed auto.

Nissan Juke is set to change the urban landscape... for the third time. Nissan Juke was created at Nissan Design Europe (NDE) in the heart of London, and refined at Nissan's Design Centre (NDC) in Japan. Principle engineering took place in Japan with significant European input and Juke will be built in Nissan's factory in Sunderland in the north-east of England.
"The design shows real optimism. By combining design elements from two genres to create a small, but striking Crossover that displays a genuine confidence and style.
