A 2 anos atrás nunca

2006 Chevy Impala SS Blend Door actuator changeout - Ticking/Clacking fix
This video is in three parts:
1 - passenger side and outside/recirc acutators
2 - drivers side: http://tinyurl.com/anjxtke
3 - the issue I had: http://tinyurl.com/b5sfyg7
I bought my 2006 Chevy Impala back in late Sept of '05. Sometime in '08
the outside/recirc and separately the driver side actuator failed and both
were replaced at the same time under warranty when some other work had to
be done. The outside actuator failed when the damper was in the outside
position so when fall came around it was definitely time to have it
replaced, it was getting too uncomfortable on cold mornings before the car
All was well until spring or early summer of '12 when the outside actuator
failed again, this time it was stuck in the recirculate position. I went
ahead and replaced it myself and shot video intending to post which I never
did. Well not 6 weeks later after replacing the outside actuator the
passenger side actuator (original to the vehicle, so it was 7 years old)
failed. Went ahead and ordered two more to replace both the passenger and
driver side at the same time.
The failed passenger actuator and the two that had been replaced previously
as well as the one I had gotten to replace the again failed outside
actuator were all made in China. The two I had obtained to replace the
passenger and driver sides were both made in Korea. Even though they were
made in different locations the part numbers are the same.
Seems like somebody in the Korean plant screwed up putting the actuators
together as the heat controls were running backwards. In the last part of
the video you can see where I compared the Chinese actuator to the Korean
one and what I had to do to get the new ones working correctly. Hopefully
there aren't too many out there that have this issue. If you ever get
replacements hope you get the Chinese ones as there is a 50/50 chance the
Korean made actuator could run backwards.
As of posting this video (1/1/13) the current part numbers are:
AC Delco - 15-74122
GM - 22754988
AC Delco - 15-73517
GM - 15844096
The Outside/Recirc, passenger side and driver side actuators are all the
same part number. There is another type actuator next to the passenger
side actuator that controls the windshield defog/panel/floor selection.

interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car
designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
