Ion Redline Racing Compilation
This is a compilation of some of the races I had this year in my car with
some of my friends. First video I have ever edited, but I think I did
decent for just using movie maker.
Stage II Saturn Ion RedLine Dyno
I know that everyone is going to doubt this...they already have, so go
ahead and say what you want. The Dyno run was at Murillo
Motorsports in San Antonio. Thus the numbers should be legitimate. I was
expecting 260ish, but here you go:

The fastest factory original stock saturn ion redline 1/4 mile time. With 4
year old Original Factory Dunlop tires that are Dry rotted and one tire is
pluged twice. This was my first time driving the wife's car. I got the time
on just my third pass down the strip! "STOCK" This is a Factory Original
"STOCK" Record Set may of 2008.. If you can beat this time the same way I
did. I will take this video down. if you think your stock redline on the
Original Dunlop tires is faster, a
valid time slip with a video that will do. NO more privite messages. CLEAR

2007 Saturn Ion Redline Dyno
Saturn Ion Redline 251WHP and 232 ft. lbs. The 3" catless Exhaust held it back a bit (no back pressure)
and the tune is running slightly lean. Yes, I'm aware that a 3" catless Exhaust is a little too big for the
current mods (listed below). I bought it because I have future plans to put
some good work into the motor; hopefully sooner than later.

Best run to date for the IRL: 13.6 @ 106. Best run of night: 13.8 @ 100.
This was a 14.0 @ 104 vs. 15.5 @ 96 for the RX-8.

The problem was on a 2005 saturn ion with automatic transmission. The key
refuse to return to OFF position and to come out of ignition slot .
Ignition only accept ACC ON START. ( this switch will also causes the doors
to lock inadvertenly if you climb out of the car and leave it running on
its own). On this video, watch How to MANUALLY OVERIDE IGNITION SWITCH
SOLENOID and troubleshooting, in my case , it lead to the automatic
transmission SHIFTER PARK MICROSWITCH, it failed frequently. As I got
closer to the microswitch, loosing daylight , my cam focus was acting out
the shifter is totally black making it hard to shoot I had to speed up and
get it done. WATCH CLOSELY HOW I SLIGHTLY BEND THE MICROSWITCH LEVER TO
GIVE IT MORE STRENGHT, i used a needle nose plier . The microswitch is held
in place by a removable plastic clip ( it's got a green line painted onto
it as you can see on the still image just prior to click on the play icon )
I removed with a small flat tip screwdriver pushing from the Inside out ,
no need to unclip top shifter panel. So after all this, I went for a test
ride, the problem disappeared, yes! it works, so far so good but a
permanent fix is required , it is best to replace it. So, watch part 2 you
