EDIT: To everyone commenting how the engine needs to be under load and in gear to hit VTEC: That was not me saying that in the video. It was my neighbor who was helping me install. YES, I know the conditions by which VTEC engages. Also I do have some JDM parts which have already been installed and I'll upload some videos when I get a chance.

VTEC hits pretty hard on this video. if its any video your looking for to show someone what VTEC really is, this is the video to see. VTEC cross over is very loud and pronounced! this is a Honda Civic CRX Del Sol, also known as the Honda Del Sol. it has a swapped motor a B16a2 Personal Wheel, NRG hub, the cars pretty much stock. Dont worry about me moving the Shift Knob in Neutral a lot. I was nervous making this video because their was a high chance of being pulled over or getting in an accident. I DONT drive this this during everyday commute or racing, if you feel the need to Criticize the way I drive to make yourself feel better about yourself. feel free to! other than that. enjoy the drive! 05 TSX Dyno Js Racing Exhaust
This is my 05 TSX with its stock internals k24a2 Dyno. Mods: HPS SRI Weapon R Header Js Racing 70RR Single Outlet KPRO 8lbs Flywheel, Exedy stage 1 clutch Car was street tuned and was not tuned on the Dyno. I will be going back to do some tuning but for now thats it :) turbo TSX is coming soon, stay tuned for more!





How VTEC Sound Like
This is what VTEC should sound like. The crossover to the high cams should be linear without any power loss. My car was tuned to make maximum power across the RPM range. This was done in 4th gear. I Dynoed 210whp & 154wtq on a Dynojet. Car: 2008 Honda Civic Si FG2 Tune: Hondata FlashPro Mods: I/H/E VTEC kicks in at 4k RPM all the way to a redline of 8.6k RPM. "VTEC (which stands for Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control) is an electronic and mechanical system in some Honda engines that allows the engine to effectively have multiple camshafts. As the engine moves into different rpm ranges, the engine's computer can activate alternate lobes on the camshaft and change the cam's timing. In this way, the engine gets the best features of low-speed and high-speed camshafts in the same engine." - HowStuffWorks





P2646 Honda Accord ,VTC strainer
P2646 Honda Accord ,VTC strainer. This Honda would not run at higher speeds. It would start bucking and stall out if held to the floor. After a bit of cleaning it seems to run fine. Do not try just removing the screens. If you try to run a Honda with out the VTC strainer any dirt that the screen would of caught will now go in to the little oil passages and be hard to remove. I am also Leary of trying to add cleaners to the engine when experiencing VTC Strainer problems.If the debris stuck in the VTC Strainer bad enough to set a P2646 code then I would be afraid the debris would break down smaller ,get through the VTC strainer just to get caught up in the valve train oil passages.

Honda Accord VTEC Solenoid Gaskets Replacement
In this video I show you how to replace both VTEC solenoid valve gaskets (valve to cylinder head and solenoid to valve) on 1994-1997 Accords. This is a common cause of oil leaks on the upper passenger side of the engine next to the distributor shaft seal, distributor o ring, and valve cover gasket. It seems the same engineers who buried the Accords fuel filter also decided to make the VTEC solenoid valve difficult to remove as well. One of the bolts for the valve is buried so deep you have to partially drain the cooling system and use a u-joint to get it out. I take your through the process step by step from removal of all the parts to re installation. This video ran a bit longer than I wanted it to but considering how deceptively easy this job looks at first glance (until you can't get that one remaining hidden bolt on the valve off to remove it) I decided to leave in as much detail as possible. You will need to add new coolant and bleed the cooling system to avoid engine damage after you're done.
