My Ford Taunus 20M -65 left in garage,after rebuilding it.
This car stood in the parking lot for 8 years and was going to the scrap
yards . I save it :)
1969 Ford Taunus 20m RS P7b
My 1969 Taunus RS 2dr saloon.
A quick once around the block before she's put away for winter and
Carburettor has been converted to a 38/38 DGAS Weber and K&N 3" tall
pancake filter (engine rebuild and new parts fitted since photo of lump).
Engine retains original cam shaft to keep stock characteristics and
maintain torque lower done the rpm's. Head has been skimmed, all internals
replaced. Very small hone/overbore with new pistons rods shells etc. Inlet
manifold has been ported and polished and step down between Weber and
original Solex carb ground away and polished out.
Facet red top ticker fuel pump (now located to rear) and Filter King glass
filter and pressure gauge.
Luminition ignition with rev limiter.
Full stainless Exhaust, with just up
and over axel to be replaced next.....but keeping Cherry Bomb silencer! ;-)
She has just had the engine stripped down and fully rebuilt and has only
done around 300m since. Hence why I don't open the taps fully.......yet!
At around 2k i'll have her set up again, but at the moment she's a little
lean low end, and rich up top.

der Taunus wurde 2005 Restauriert, die Alu Felgen sind nicht mehr drauf da
ich auf der suche nach schicken kleineren Felgen bin.
Original war ein 2.0l V6 drinn.
Rost hatte war untypisch wenig vorhanden also mussten nur wenig
schweißarbeiten gemacht werden der innenraum ist bis auf den Grani
Drehzahlmesser und der Hutablage Original und in guten Zustand.
Der Maschienenraum wurde auslackiert und dieverse Chromteile verbaut.
Ist mein Baby und es wird immer irgendwas zu tun geben.

This car originally had the wheezy Pinto 2000 cc engine and 4 speed trans,
so it is much better now. A nice, original, rust-free unit brought up from
the States to save it from the recyclers yard. Sweet vintage aluminum slot
mags, nerf bars, and diamond-tuft package tray finish this Capri off in
classic 70's style! Hope you like it as much as I do!
