67-68 Cougar Buying Guide: What To Look For
In this video, Don does a detailed inspection on a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7 to show some of the things you should look for when buying one of these classic cars. Some of the insight here can potentially save you hundreds, even thousands, when you go to negotiate with a seller. Also, it will help those of you trying to sell, to more accurately advertise the strengths and weaknesses of your car. We've also done a similar video with a 1970 Cougar convertible, so you may want to check that out too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fizb2vo68vA To look up the parts mentioned in this video, visit http://www.cougarpartscatalog.com Subscribe to our channel to keep up with our latest uploads! 73 Cougar getting exercise
I've pulled the interior and vinyl top. I'll be replacing the sheetmetal. Everything mechanical is perfect, so it still needs its weekly exercise.

1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible 351 Cleveland V8
I thought you might like a look at this 1972 Mercury Cougar XR7 Convertible. It is a very well-preserved original survivor, with only 88,xxx miles on the odometer. It's powered by the numbers matching 351 Cleveland 2 BBL V8, backed by a C6 automatic trans. All the power is sent back to the extremely durable 9 inch rear. The interior is all original and is in very good condition. It really is in remarkable condition, given it's age. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for taking a look! Mercury Cougar - American Muscle Car
An excellent TV show featuring the classic Mercury Cougar. They cover all the classic years, and talk about all the different engines and option packages you could get. Only a couple minor mistakes (they say the that XR-7 package included a 4-speed stick, then show an automatic shifter in one... derrr) but overall a very nice overview of these cars.

Rat Rod Custom 1950 Mercury Rescue! - Roadkill Episode 21
It's always a good idea to buy a car off the Internet sight-unseen, right? That's what a friend-of-a-friend of Roadkill did with the kustom Merc—and maybe he made an even worse decision when he allowed Freiburger and Finnegan to wrench on the thing and deliver it to him. This deal was set up by a Roadkill fan, Jim Norman of Norman Vinyards in Paso Robles, California. The road trip involves the '69 El Camino from Episode 4, The Dog from Episodes 4 and 17, lots of burnouts with the guys from Hot Rod Ranch - http://www.hotrodranchcustoms.com - and plenty of fun with Alex Gambino of Gambino Kustoms - http://www.facebook.com/gambino.kustoms Roadkill appears every fourth Friday on the Motor Trend channel. http://www.youtube.com/motortrend Subscribe now to make sure you're in on all the action! http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=motortrend Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/RoadkillShow, http://facebook.com/motortrendmag & http://facebook.com/hotrodmag Twitter - http://twitter.com/motortrend & https://twitter.com/hotrodmagazine Google+ - https://plus.google.com/1018679678590...
