My Saab 9-5 Aero T

A short video of my black precious! Originally it's a 9-5 2.0 LPT Trionic 7 with 150 HP but i Aeronized this beauty. The exterior has been modded with MY2006 Aero sideskirts, Aero backlip spoiler, taillights with decorpanel and awesome looking 18x9's AEZ Excite Dark rims. On the inside, Aero heated leather seats and steeringwheel has been fitted and the music is beeing delivered by a double DIN Pioneer AVH P4100 DVD with touchscreen. As for the powerplant, i recently fitted a Mitsubischi turbo, 3 inch JT twin Exhaust with sportscatalyst, Forge Intercooler, Forge bypass valve, Abbott Racing delivery pipe, Abbott Racing intake pipe, K&N open air filter and custom made ECU setup by kawaman. It produces 320 HP at this time but a 2.3 Trionic 5 is on its way to continue the sickness:)

~ 700hp Turbo Saab, 312kmh (194mph)
Extreme turbo Saab + 300 kmh Many viewers have misunderstood this video, so I explain it a little: -Speed at finish line (1mile/1609m) is measured. Time is not measured. -First Saab does 1st and 2nd gear with ~half throttle. Second Saab has limited Boost for 1st and 2nd gear. - three extra seconds between 0-100kmh typically means ~30meters wasted. But three extra seconds used in speeds close to 300kmh, means almost 300meters wasted. Here is equally powerful RWD cars (if not even more HP's) These RWD's are a lot faster between 0-150kmh, but these Saabs are faster from 150kmh-300kmh. You get the point when you compare speeds at finish line. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urWWdomnncw -A Saab 9-5 driver pushes a little too much throttle @3rd gear and looses traction. He lifts a throttle and pushes it back, but too much again and then he gears up 4th, a bit earlier than planned. (optimal is@205kmh). Earlier that summer I broke one gearbox when pushing too hard on 3rd gear. With new gearbox and at later event, I drove very gently on first three gears to avoid breaking it again. I pushed WOT for the first time on 4th gear @ 190kmh. You can hear it clearly on following video. Engine tone changes totally around 200kmh. Incar video is from 299kmh pull (at 1 mile race) Something happened to camera during the run. So I didn't get any incar video from a 305kmh pull. To see that run from the start line, please see my other videos. Here is incar video until camera dies. Start is @1min. http://youtu.be/M4NNX4Ygnwc

Yamaha R1 vs Police (SAAB 9-5 Aero)
*** EDIT: The officer driving the police car was later sentenced to pay a ticket, 19.000 SEK (€ 2000 // $ 2850). The reason was he didn´t obey order to abort pursuit and he didn´t had the permission to cut the bike off.*** Video from Sweden. An unmarked police car chases an Yamaha R1 -01. Seems like the police doesn´t use their sirens. The driver of the police car was later charged for not obey order. 6.34 he receives the order to abort the pursuit. And yes, the guy on the R1 didn´t have the skills to keep the speed up!

Yes, You Can Build a Sick Vintage Rally Car - AFTER/DRIVE
Ever wanted to go back in time, when screaming two-stroke Saabs were the kings of rally? Find out how you can, with Bruce Turk, Saab jedi-master and vintage rally dude. On the car's specs Bruce adds: "It now has a 850cc three cylinder two stroke motor that started life as a 750cc but the block was bored out to 850cc. It has Monte Carlo 850 pistons, a GT 750 crank shaft, a dual Solex "Super kit Carb, lightened flywheel, heavy duty clutch (extra springs added) fully ported intake and Exhaust ports to rally spec II specifications and a Spec II rally 4 speed Saab gear box which is very rare I might add... Oh, estimated HP is 60 BHP" If money were no object, what vintage car (of any era) would you most want to race/rally? Solving 2001 Saab 9-5 ABS/TCS/CEL Problem -EricTheCarGuy
Visit me at: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/ This 2001 Saab 9-5 came in with just about every light lit up on the dash. The first code I pulled was a P1625 for the CEL which indicates a communication error between the ABS unit and the PCM. After looking into this code I found out this is a common problem with these Bosch ABS units. Rather than purchasing a new unit however I decided to send the existing ABS unit off to BBA Remanufacturing for remanufacture. Some of these units require that you pair a new unit up with the PCM, mine was one of those so sending off my existing unit made the most sense because if I had just gotten a remanufactured one I would have had to program it to work with the cars PCM. This took a bit longer but it saved me quite a bit of trouble in the end. Here are some useful links mentioned in the video. Link to P1625 findings: http://www.saablink.net/forum/car-problems-ng900-old-9-3-only/45182.htm Link to BBA remanufacture service: http://www.ebay.com/itm/330688725218?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984 .m1439.l2649 Discussion about this video: https://www.ericthecarguy.com/kunena/18-The-EricTheCarGuy-Video-Forum/44796 -saab-abstcscel-repair#57607 Stay Dirty ETCG Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, it cannot guarantee against unauthorized modifications of this information, or improper use of this information.  EricTheCarGuy assumes no liability for property damage or injury incurred as a result of any of the information contained in this video. EricTheCarGuy recommends safe practices when working with power tools, automotive lifts, lifting tools, jack stands, electrical equipment, blunt instruments, chemicals, lubricants, or any other tools or equipment seen or implied in this video.  Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, no information contained in this video shall create any express or implied warranty or guarantee of any particular result.  Any injury, damage or loss that may result from improper use of these tools, equipment, or the information contained in this video is the sole responsibility of the user and not EricTheCarGuy.

Fixing Saab 9-5 Security System Problems -EricTheCarGuy
Visit me at: http://www.ericthecarguy.com/ As I said in the video the owner brought me this car along with the supposed fix. The symptoms were an intermittent no start and a message on the dash indicating a security system problem. Apparently this is a common problem with Saabs of this vintage and the problem is usually linked to this siren/security module. Apparently the batteries go bad in the unit causing it to act up intermittently. In this video I show the steps needed to replace the module, it's actually a very easy job that does not require a lot of tools. So if you have an issue with the security system on a Saab of this vintage you might want to give this fix a try. Here's the ebay store link to the company that rebuilds the modules. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-Saab-9-5-Anti-Theft-Alarm-Siren-Repair-Service -01-95-9-5-/230743686144?pt=Automotive_Services&vxp=mtr&hash=item35b9653c00 Discussion about this video: https://www.ericthecarguy.com/kunena/18-The-EricTheCarGuy-Video-Forum/44233 -2001-saab-security-system-repair#54463 Stay Dirty ETCG Due to factors beyond the control of EricTheCarGuy, it cannot guarantee against unauthorized modifications of this information, or improper use of this information.

2011 Saab 9-5 Aero Turbo6 XWD Start Up, Engine, and In Depth Tour
In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2011 Saab 9-5 Aero. Released as a late 2010 model, the 2011 now boasts a panoramic glass roof along with the great redesign. Overall makes the car have a much more stately appearance and further set it in a more sport/luxury sedan class. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
