Mark gets around the track pretty well in my car with an impressive time of 1:48.34. Mods include Tein Flex 10/7kg coilovers, Racing Beat hollow front anti-sway bar, 949 Racing 15x8" 6UL wheels with 205/50/15 Hoosier R6 tires, Fuji Racing header and CM Muffler Exhaust.
Road Atlanta Corvette Z06 chasing MTI Z06
This was taken at Road Atlanta running with NASA on March 16, 2008. I am
driving a relatively stock C5 Z06 Corvette trying to keep up with a highly
modified MTI Corvette Z06. I was able to keep up in the corners, but it had
a lot of power to pull away on the straights. I am on Nitto 555R2 tires
that are now due for replacement. The owner of the MTI Z06 is a very nice
guy and has a very cool car. It was a lot of fun trying to keep up.
Driving 949Racing's OGK
This is a highlight of my first-ever filmed session in a real racing car.
I have had a few laps in this car before at a few auto-x's and 2 laps at
Buttonwillow, but nothing like this. All I can say is, "Wow...I want a
racecar, like now!"
I think I want to buy my third Miata now and finally make a legitimate
racing car. However, I'm holding off until my MSM project is finished,
which I hope is soon.

Uploading this really long vid just to show my friends that said "no
way..." The last 4 clips stuck on are of laps at 1.28.23~1.28.15 To show
consistency later in the day. This was my first track event where I could
go as fast as I wanted too. Doing the events at Ford's Test track we always
had speed limits... Still learning and I'm sure I could get much faster. Watching these as I spliced them
together I can pick out mistakes I made everywhere... Still... Not as many
as the people I pass :) Or maybe I just wanted it more... idk. At any rate
it was a ton of fun! Can't wait for the next one!
Full laps with pass validation through the next few turns or even full laps
if it leads up to more passes. Clips are un edited except for the clip of
my pulling from my parking spot to the staging lane, that was played at
300% to speed it up. All other clips played at normal speed. (you can tell
by watching)I will be using these clips with others to make a nice short
video that will be designed around entertaining while this one is just pure
racing, no fades, no mixing clips for the right effect, just one camera
shot all the way around showing the speed and the chase.
Chased the Fox body for a while... that guy was fast! (At least compared to
(Open track day with the Shelby Club having fun and chasing each other
around. Passing only on the back straight, and blue flagged to do so. )
The white Fox Body has a 346ci engine built for Endurance racing... That
car is prepped, just not aero changes.
My car is a 1991 Miata with Enkie Wheels, Dunlop Star Spec tires, a Racing
beat header, Lightened Flywheel, and home made roll bar. Other wise stock.
Tires are 205 50 15s on 15x7 inch rims.

Emilio Cervantes sets the NASA TTE track record in my Miata. Now I have a
much higher (lower?) bar to chase. This broke the previous record by 1.5
seconds! The car is a 1993 Mazda Miata with a 2000 engine, Tein Flex
