1927 Ford: Double-Trouble -- /BIG MUSCLE
• Gordon Tronson
In the world of hot-rodding there are few cars that are going to leave as
big an impression as this - the 1927 Ford Model T custom simply known as
"Double-Trouble". It rides on a custom-built tube chassis that's fabricated
from 1.5-inch tube. Is powered by two 4.6-liter modular V8s from Ford with
four, count 'em, FOUR Superchargers for
an approximate power output of around 1,200 hp. It also utilizes the
rear-end (inboard disc brakes and all) from an early Jaguar. It's a rolling
a Hot Wheels car and a masterpiece of engineering that is sure to make all
your naughty bits tingle.

1999 Ford Explorer, 4.0L OHV Engine - Vacuum Leak ??? - video 2
1999 Ford Explorer, 4.0L OHV Engine - Vacuum Leak search.
I think there is a vacuum leak in the upper intake plenum gasket. This
leak is causing a Check Engine Light (CEL) code of P0171 (Bank 1 lean) and
P0174 (Bank 2 lean). There are many reports of this type of Vacuum leak on
the various Ford forums and some great how-to's on making this repair.
Where is my leak??? This is me spraying carburetor cleaner all over the
area of the upper intake gasket area and plenum (plastic).
Ford Explorer bogging/rough idle
1997 Ford Explorer XLT 5.0
Have already replaced the Coil packs, spark plug wires, and spark plugs.
thinking about cleaning the IAC, MAF, and Throttle Body next.
I've tried using the Chevron Techron Fuel System Cleaner to help clear
things up thinking that possibly my fuel injectors are dirty, so that's
still in the system right now. My driver side catalytic converter (the one
with the wrap on it) was just blowing from all seams all the way around. My
rear catalytic converter was welded to the frame and has rusted and came
off, pulling the corners of the cat with it, leaving huge holes on each
back end. It ran great until one night when I filled up at a Turkey Hill
nearby. I drove about 40 miles and this is the result. If anyone can help
me with this issue that would be amazing.
Also, as a side note, obviously I plan on replacing the entire Exhaust system anyhow, due to the tremendous
amount of holes and gasket leaks, but would it still be legal for me to
delete the rear two cats, leave the front two, and have it come out the
side before my rear tire. I live in PA, so let me know if thats within
regulations, thanks alot. (those cats are pretty expensive)
