1955 Ford Thunderbird: Back in Black -- /BIG MUSCLE
It's been in the same family for the better part of 50 years. Been modified with performance and weight savings in mind, and is one of the sleekest looking cars we've ever come across. This 1955 Ford Thunderbird is no secretaries car, but a purpose built award winning street machine that was built in a time before resto-modding old cars was all the rage.

Am I a goof??? Cold start and drive of the 64 T-Bird
This video was from 12/7/2010 when I started and took the 64 T-Bird for a spin before the snow hit the first time. The title and some of the comments were a shout out to 1puglife, who quips that you're a goof if you like cold starts. Well, cold starting classic cars is not being a goof in any way.

b-29 ride final.avi
My flight in a Boeing B-29 from takeoff to landing. I trimmed it down to about half an hour of video, the actual flight was about an hour and a half from boarding to deplaning. This B-29 is owned by the Commemorative Air Force and makes fairly regular trips around the country to airshows..
The B-29 was the largest bomber in WWII and at the time one of the most complex aircraft with a pressurized cabin that allowed it to fly at very high altitudes. This restored aircraft is one of very few B-29's still flying, perhaps the only one. The plane took off and landed beautifully. All flight controls are unpowered and for the most part cable operated making the controls feel a little heavy compared to most modern planes. Considering that the plane had zero soundproofing it was surprisingly quiet, at least compared to what I was expecting. During this flight they even kept the windows opened. They no longer pressurize the aircraft due to it's age and the desire to keep the operation as simple as possible. The video may seem like it drags on a bit, the starting sequence, for example, takes quite a bit longer than firing up a C-150, much more then 4x as long.
This video is dedicated to a man by the name of Mr. Turner, who lives on 81st street and Normandie in Los Angeles California. When I was a child Mr. Turner had a black 1964 Thunderbird coupe with a black interior. He told me that he bought it in late 1963 brand new. I believe that he still has the black '64 Thunderbird. He was the inspiration in me getting this type of Thunderbird. So this is just saying Thank you Mr. Turner.

For 1966 the 390-cubic-inch V8's power was increased to 315 bhp (235 kW). The larger 428-cubic-inch (7.0 L) V-8 became optional, rated at 345 gross horsepower (257.4 kW) and providing a notable improvement in 0-60 acceleration (to about 9 seconds). A new Town Hardtop model was offered, featured a roof with blind quarter panels for a more 'formal' look (at the cost of rear visibility). The Landau model was replaced by the Town Landau, which retained the previous model's padded roof and landau S-bars, but applied them to the Town Hardtop's formal roof. The Town Landau was by far the best-selling model, accounting for 35,105 of the 1966 model's 69,176 sales.
There was a very rare special order 427 available through certain Ford dealers for 1963-1965 Thunderbirds, 120 of these "high performance" models were made. Only six are still known to exist today. It is documented that Bob Tasca, a well known drag racer of the 1960s, ordered a factory-fitted 427 1964 Thunderbird with an export suspension and had custom body work done by Alexander Bros. Custom Shop in Detroit. The Birds Performance was said to do 0-60 mph in 6 seconds flat with a top speed of 135 mph (217 km/h). The car's current whereabouts are unknown. There is a link to another 427 Thunderbird at the bottom of this page.
A black 1964 convertible later had a major role in the TV series Highlander: The Series as protagonist Duncan Macleods main mode of transportation. A green 1966 Thunderbird convertible was prominently featured in the 1991 Ridley Scott film Thelma and Louise, starring Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis, a red 1966 Thunderbird convertible was featured in the 1983 film The Outsiders which was directed by Francis Ford Coppola, and a green 1966 Thunderbird Convertible was featured in the David Lynch film Wild at Heart, starring Nicholas Cage and Laura Dern.
