Lotus 47 wins at 2010 SVRA Watkins Glen Grand Prix
1966 Lotus 47 wins the Group 5 feature race at Watkins Glen 2010 SVRA Vintage Grand Prix, beating a 2005 GT40 replica. Weather conditions were shocking with rivers of water on the track. The GT40 had rain tyres on, but the Lotus 47 did not!
First Alfa Romeo GTA Challenge - Top Hat Race Day - Donington Park, May 2002
Julius Thurgood ran the GTA Challenge for historic Alfa Romeo cars with support from Andrew Thorogood and this footage is from the first ever such race at Donington Park in May 2002. Andrew Banks showed the way but there was a great scrap between Mark Hales (9) and James Diffey (7). There is a good mix of Giulia coupes and saloons - other runners included Andrew Colley, Peter Shaw in the blue Giulietta Sprint and Peter Sugden. Hales makes the yellow 1600GTA go very well against 2-litre opposition. Spot the unusual trophies commissioned by Julius from Micky Bolton.

Lotus Elan 26R replica spins at the front of the pack on the first lap of the one hour Enduro race. All but one of the following cars managed to miss me. Frankly, I was lucky, as most people who spin here end up playing pinball off the blue barriers.

Ford GT40 Driven by Derek Bell at Sebring International Raceway (Onboard)
This is five-time LeMans winner Derek Bell behind the wheel of a 1966 model GT40 Mk.I built by Pathfinder Motorsports doing a demonstration run at Sebring International Raceway's 24-hour course. Derek, also a former Formula 1 driver, is driving with a passenger who won a charity demo drive. Filmed during the HSR Sebring Fall Classic Races on December 6, 2009, this GT40 won the US Vintage Grand Prix in its class and later won the New York Governor's Cup Race. It is a continuation model built by Superformance and is chassis number GT40P/2090. It is registered in the Safir GT40 and Shelby Registries.
