blowing up an inline six
after throwing a rod in the block, decided to see if it would still start,
it did, so they decided to finish it off before they pulled it.
Starting the Old Cold Forgotten Buick
Oh boy. At least seven attempts later...it finally started. It ran and
drove pretty good for a free car. The spark plugs came from the white car
(see my other videos). I'll need to get a battery and see if I can fix the
power steering leak.

Engine explosion contest- Engine blows up - no oil or coolant- motor explodes minnesota
Saw this at the Early Iron car show at the International Falls Bass
tournament Aug. 28, 2010 in International Falls, Minnesota. In a 50/50
money-raising contest, spectators guessed how long it would take for the
engine to blow-up in this mini-van with NO OIL or coolant with the winning
time getting 1/2 the money raised.
At about 1.5 minutes, the engine started threw out red hot connecting
rods and wrist pins onto the trailer below the van, but it surprisingly
continued to run! I think the final time until complete engine melt-down
was 2mins 33 seconds . Sounded much worst than my phone recorded. You could
literally hear the pistons grinding against cylinder walls before it
seized. All in all, it was all good fun and the money raised from this
"engine explosion contest" went to a good cause.
Lots of people posting below that this old van should have been given to
someone less fortunate, but it was pulled from a junkyard and likely on way
to crusher. Definitely not safe for the road, but thoughts are in right
Motor Blow Up #2
Some more saturday afternoon fun, this motor made close to 500hp and turned
a max of 8600rpm before it blew. It cracked both heads, split the block,
blew a hole in the right side of the block and demolished the starter. Good
how to blow up the engine in a 97 escort
this was fun. The first time i tryed to put it in reverse the engine locked
up right before it was in reverse, it broke a hole in the oil pan and we
could here parts bouncing down the road and it actually started a grass
fire in the ditch that we had to stomp out, but it did start up again so
we did it again. there were connecting rods in the driveway after. I
bought this car for 50$ it had a broken piston when i got it so i cut the
rod off and started it back up on three cylinders, it ran good for a while.
Corvette c5 z06 blows up
I am posting this video cause you don't see the full version with the
reason for the explosion. The video is from http://SpdKilz.com
"This is a tribute video to my friend (and President of my car club,
Shocker Racing) James' 2001 Z06. He was at the track on 4-9-05 and we
think his fuel pooled in his intake manifold and BOOM. BTW, he was using a
window switch for his Nitrous, and had
the setup professionally installed. All that other BS you hear online is
just that. This was a technical malfunction within the system."
Audio(Green Day - Good Riddance) had to remove as apparently putting in
the video is copyright violation. I would like for it to be clear that this
video was never mine nor have I ever claimed possession of the video
material or audio material.
Assembling modified Buick LN3 3800 Series I engine. Low-tension piston rings.
Assembling modified Buick LN3 3800 Series I engine. Low-tension piston
rings. The entire rotating ammembly is together and torqued to specs. Even
so, I can rotate the engine by hand (ONE hand, at that!) by turning the
crank pulley. This is how a new engine should feel. The camera picks up
well the sliding sound of the new pistons on the new cylinder bore. It is
not really that loud!
This engine is for an 89 LeSabre T. It has been modified. It has Series
II 9.8:1 compression pistons (with low-tension rings); 252° Delta Cams
modified roller camshaft; ported heads, inlet and Exhaust manifolds; and a re-tune of the ECM.
Full size Chevy van engine AMAZING blow up scatter 4.3 v-6
This thing blew the freak up! It threw 2 rods and the pistons out of the
bottom, and KEPT on running until it finally locked up the other 4 rods!
Amazing blow up for sure! The other good part about this..
It used to belong to my boss. KUDOS to the one at the throttle for not
getting scared and letting off when it scattered!
