When GM lifted their ban of engines larger than 400 cubic inches in
intermediate cars, the Buick camp responded with a legendary piece of
muscle car history. The GS was the go-to for anyone who put equal emphasis
on pure comfort and brute power. This Sloan-documented 1970 GS 455 is the
beneficiary of an extensive frame-off restoration which has already claimed
some significant awards. Accolades include a Concours Gold First Senior
award at the 2012 Buick Club of America Nationals.
While Buick's GSX made its presence loud and clear with two strong color
options, the GS455 went about things in a slightly more sophisticated way.
This GS 455 wears a refreshing mix of fresh Burgundy Mist and Glacier White
paint for a refined appearance. Only the functional hood scoops hint at the
cars performance capabilities. All brightwork has been polished or
replaced, including the showroom fresh bumpers which were rechromed by
Inside the car, Buick design remains at the forefront. An all new Pearl
White interior from Legendary Auto Interiors offers new carpet, bucket
seats, door panels, and a taut new headliner. Presentation is great thanks
to details like freshly rechromed center console trim and a new steering
wheel. Upgrades include a full Custom Autosound stereo system with direct
The stock Buick 455 was a strong engine, offering a factory rated 360 horsepower and 510
lb. /ft. of torque but this GS takes things to the next level. Lift the
hood and a deceptively stock-appearing bay hosts a fully rebuilt 470ci
Buick motor full of high-quality parts. Built by Tri-Shield Performance,
the block hosts pieces like Diamond forged pistons, Eagle H-beam rods, and
a TA cam. At the top, a ported stock intake works alongside ported and
polished aluminum SE Stage 1 heads to help make a stout 507 horsepower.
Behind that powerhouse, TH400 automatic transmission rebuilt by TSP spins
power back to a 12-bolt rear with versatile 3.31 gears. At either side,
headers connect to a 3-inch dual Exhaust system complete with an X-pipe and
Flowmaster 50 series mufflers. To the rear, a new Quantum fuel tank and
RobbMc fuel pump keep the big Buick properly fed.
During restoration, the frame was sand blasted and painted with an
industrial urethane before being joined by all new suspension components.
Power front disc brakes and rear drums provide plenty of stopping power
while a fully rebuilt power steering system ensures confidence through the
corners. The chassis meets the road through new Wheel Vintiques Buick Rally
wheels wrapped in Goodyear Polylgas tires.
Offering a near-perfect blend of show and go, this award-winning 1970 GS
455 is a great reminder of Buick's performance heritage and a resounding
"Yes" to the old slogan, "Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?"

1987 Buick Grand National (Regal T-Type Turbo) Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Review
**I made an editing error at the beginning. Thanks a bunch to Streetside
Classics of Charlotte, NC for allowing me to film this video!
Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube's largest collection of automotive
variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth
look at the understated muscle car of the late 80s, the Buick Grand
National, this one specifically the Regal T-Type. The GN and the T-Type are
identical except for badging and interior trim. It wasn't until you
stepped it on up to the GNX did you get the truly different package (which
I will explain in the video). The GN is arguably the most menacing looking
buick of all time with it's black monochrome paint scheme and turbo charged 3.8 V6 pumping out amazing
performance numbers for the time period, even today! A unique experience
to be able to check out one of these beasts. During this presentation, we
will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with
the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data,
and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior
and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only
get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will
highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any
available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video
without the good ole engine portion with rev and Exhaust note with interior and exterior
perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a
greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will
find in depth reviews/tour of automobiles from all over the world,
presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. Basically, this
gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you
can get without going to an actual dealer yourself! Every video is
consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect in my
presentations. I treat every vehicle with the same respect whether a 1960
Chevrolet Impala SS or the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador. I film all types of
vehicles from past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of
the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new,
exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have
built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted
to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be
sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's

1968 Cadillac Coupe
This is an ellegant 68 Coupe Deville. It has a very expensive paint job and
the finish is like glass. The car has 51,000 original miles. I put new dual
Exhaust on the car with flowmaster
mufflers that sound just right. The chrome is excellent all the way around
the car with the exception of some small flaking on right taillight. The
interior is perfect with no rips or tears anywhere including carpeting.
Everything works on car and also has new CD radio in glove box. Great car
for a power tour. If interested give a call, you won't be disappointed.

Buick - History Documentary (1995)
This video is a wonderfully-done documentary, written and produced by
Michael Rose, on the history of Buick as presented in 1995 from the History
Channel's archive. Here is Michael's description of the video verbatim:
"No one would have believed that the tinkering of a plumber would turn into
the foundation of the world's largest corporation. But it did. David Dunbar
Buick invented a process to adhere porcelain to tubs and other bathroom
fixtures. But the Scottish immigrant dreamed of making a mark out of the
bathroom, and set to work building a car. By 1900, he enlisted the aid of
another inventor, Walter Marr, and they built their first vehicle. Their
invention attracted the attention of one of Michigan's wealthiest men,
William Crapo Durant, the president of the world's largest buggy-building
business. As soon as he drove one of Buick's early creations, Durant
realized that the days of the horse and buggy were over. He teamed up with
Buick, and the two went on to make history. By the thirties, Buicks were
regarded as some of the finest cars ever made. From the first Buicks
through the birth of General Motors and into history, this is the
compelling story of the partnership that eventually became the basis for
the largest company in the world."

1971 BUICK GSX 455 1 OF ONLY 124 MADE SOLD! NEW UPDATE FINISHED AND HAS BEEN SOLD!!!
This is a original 1971 Buick GSX 455 car. Yes this is a original, NOT A
CLONE, 1 of only 124 ever made in 71 that includes 350, 455 and 455 stage 1
cars all together. This car is registered in the GSX registry. This car was
not known to exist until it was discovered a little while ago. There are 3
known so far out of all 1971 GXS's to have a paint code of 62 which is
Bittersweet Mist. The others Bittersweet Mist GSX's are restored one is
only a 350 engine and 350 auto tranny car. The other is a stage 1 455 car.
So this is the only 455 engine 1971 GSX made in the color Bittersweet Mist
I have talked to the original owner and have a document that has been
signed by him and notorized stating that this is a true 1971 GSX, which he
bought on march 12, 1971. I have the original protecto plate This car is a
4owner car, and can be traced to every owner and all the owners are still
alive. This was bought brand new at Key Buick & Opel in Jacksonville,
Florida on 3/12/71. It stayed in Florida until mid 1979, then it went to
the last of the 3 owners in Alabama where it stayed until about a month ago
2/1/08. Now it resides with me here in Pa. This was always a southern car
and is about 98% rust free. It has just a little around the back rear
window and a pin hole in the rear seat pan and where the battery box is,
that was because of a leaky battery but thats it. I have alot of picture of
the doors, trunk, floors, fenders, rad support, frame, etc and all of that
is 100% solid. This is a very original car with the exception for the block
as it was damaged back in the late 1970's and could not be repaired so it
was changed with another but the rest of the car is all near original as
you see it in the video. This car has had the passenger side door fixed
back in 1971 only 3 months after it was new this was told to me by the
original owner. The paint is nearly all original with the exception for the
drivers door and rear quater. The interior, transmission, which is the
original matching numbers turbo 400,
original posi rear end, suspension, etc. This is a unmolested car that
still retains, from what I can tell, all of it's original sheetmetal with
the exception of the drivers door from what I can tell. you can see in the
pictures the faded original paint as well as the original faded painted GSX
stripes and hood treatment and the faded GSX decals. This car has a tanish
interior and has the following options 455 motor, automatic turbo 400, air conditioning, GSX option,
Bittersweet Mist paint, tan bucket seat interior, center console, courtesy
light package, front and rear bumperettes, power steering, power disk
brakes, 3:42 posi rear end heavy duty 10 bolt that only came on the GSX,15"
ralley rims. It is sometimes hard to find 1970 GSX's but there out there as
they made 678 and they only came in 2 colors yellow or white now compare
that to a 1971 GSX which they only made 124 period and you can get them now
in special order colors because every GSX had to be special ordered, that
was the only way you could get one. If anyone wants a chance to own a
original 1971 GSX here is your chance. These cars in #1 condition will
bring near $150,000 because of what they are. The car was inspected by a
very well know GSX expert and National judge( Duane Heckman of
philadelphia, pa.). He shared his findings and pictures with a other well
known GSX judge to also verify that THIS IS A GENUINE 1971 GSX. He took
every date code he could find. He proved that the car has all of it's
original sheetmetal with the exception of the drivers side door. The
drivers door is a genuine GM part but was put on the car a couple months
after it was purchased. There was some damage on the very front of the
drivers side quater as well. This is why the black paint is mostly off the
drivers side stripe. These 2 areas were repainted in 1971 as well as the
stripes. Now the rest of the car still reatains it's original paint and
stripes as well as GSX decals. The proof is in the stripes being that they
are original to the car. The spoiler, tach, wheels, interior, bumpers,
headlight assemblys, hood, suspension are all original to the car. All of
the options on the car was also verified. I hope this helps everyone out.
There is proof on this car and it is now documented as a true original 1971
GSX in bittersweet mist. if anyone has any questions about the inspection
please email me or call 570-875-7109. Thanks for your interest...
UPDATE::::: The car has had a rotisserie high grade restoration and
recieved Gold 2 times and the nationals. The car is for sale. The car was
put back to factory specs everywhere as well as finding a correct block. If
anyone is interested please feel free to call me. Sorry the car has been
sold for $100,000.
