Mike took his 69 Firebird out for one last ride on August 1, 2009.
Ten days later it was shipping from New Jersey heading to Norway.
He sold it to a collector in Norway where there is a big interest in the American Muscle Car.
Long live his Firebird - Suzy Q!
Test Driving 1969 Pontiac Firebird 400 V8 Four-Speed
I thought you'd like a look at this nicely restored 1969 Pontiac Firebird.
It's powered by the 400 V8 4 bbl, backed by a four-speed manual trans. It
really looks slick inside and out. It's equipped with the dual hood
scoops, hood mounted tach, rally wheels, and very nice blue metallic paint.
The interior has been completely restored and looks nearly new. These are
excellent driving and handling cars. I hope you find it
interesting...thanks for watching!
Filmed at Fast Lane Classic Cars in St. Charles, Missouri.
The background music track is Whiskey on the Mississippi by Kevin MacLeod.

Instruments: Guitar, Bass, Kit, Organ, EP
With a jumping bass and off-beat syncopation, this is straight from
Memphis' Beale Street. The Hammond organ and electric guitar play together
as longtime friends, while the melody changes hands from guitar to organ to
electric piano. 011

1969 Firebird 400 Ram Air III red convertible
My Fiero mechanic Dave Armstrong's other '69 Firebird 400 is this Ram Air
III convertible, also restored by him.
I've seen the build book for this car, and it was a WRECK. That Dave was
able to restore it to an award-winning, numbers-matching showpiece like
this is a further testament to his skill. To those who will inevitably ask,
Matador Red was the factory correct color for this car in '69.
The new Camaro,
Challenger and Mustang are
nice, but I'm always drawn to cars like this. Maybe because I can remember
when they were daily drivers.
This one has definitely had an easier life than it did with the previous
owner; Dave trailers this car to shows. Period. The top has never been

1974 Pontiac Firebird
The Pontiac Firebird was built by the Pontiac division of General Motors
between 1967 and 2002. The Firebird was introduced the same year as the
automaker's platform-sharing model, the Chevrolet Camaro. This coincided with the
release of the 1967 Mercury Cougar, which shared its platform with another
pony car, the Ford Mustang.
The second generation debut for the 1970 model year was delayed until
February 26, 1970, because of tooling and engineering problems. Replacing
the "Coke bottle" styling was a more "swoopy" body style, with the top of
the rear window line going almost straight down to the lip of the trunk
lid. This look was to epitomize F-body styling for the longest period
during the Firebird's lifetime. The 1974 models featured a redesigned
"shovel-nose" front end and new wide "slotted" taillights.
